I got to spend the day hanging with him and his wife and baby and other friends a few days ago and he is just as awesome as everyone said he would be. I feel so honored, but kind of sad because I didn’t get to get a picture with him despite taking a bunch of pictures of him with other people.

I saw that the House vote was 390-2. What kind of scum votes "no" in this situation?

Their is so much scum in the house I'm surprised the vote turned out as good as it did.

Were the two no votes from Atlanta?

Per the Advocate:

quote:

The lone "no" votes in the House were cast by U.S. Reps. Justin Amash, of Michigan, and Thomas Massie, of Kentucky, both Republicans.

Probably two astute gentleman who understand that the Congressional Medal of Honor should go to war heroes.

We honor and award people these days like we're handing out candy at Halloween.

Cupcake generation, indeed.

ETA: whoops.

I read it as the Congressional Medal of Honor. My bad. I'm an idiot.

Maybe try not to be a blubbering little bitch and read the title carefully before melting next time please.

No such animal. It's the Medal of Honor and its awarded by the Executive Branch of government.

Nonwar heroes have been awarded the medal in the past. Richard Byrd and Charles Limbergh being just two examples.
