No good at that and the way the market is for WRs which is nuts at this point no clue. But they know lol. I would make him the highest paid on the team. Trade Olive if a deal is there. Sane FAs, bench and draft. I mean the range for a lot of top guys is what? 20-30 mil per? In that range spitballing.
PS extend early Don’t be a jerry and always wait…then pay more.
That’s the question though.
If you have to pay him as a #1, then you really need to question whether it’s a good move. It would be hard to argue based on production.
I love Shaheed but if that’s what it’s going to take we should trade him right now.

If you can sign olave for Jameson Williams money, you do it. But if not than I think you have to see if someone will give up a 2nd
This is where I’m at. But you can wait till the offseason. If he puts up another 1k season, maybe you get a late first.

You said 20-30M / yr. So I assumed you were saying pay him like a #1?

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2026 1st-Round Pick If the Saints are looking to cash in veteran talent as part of their rebuild, wideout Chris Olave would likely be their top trade chip. The 25-year-old has two 1,000-yard seasons on his resume and appears to again be healthy after injuries limited him to eight games in 2024. Olave has started all five contests this year and caught 33 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown.

The general manager for the Pittsburgh Steelers is Omar Khan...
Rummel grad.

Only proper response:”Thank you, no, but I have an Olave that you might be interested in”.

You don’t trade Sheed.
Don’t be a jaded angry fan. He is our most talented weapon by a wide margin.
There is not a box that Sheed doesn’t check when you’re rebuilding.

Incorrect.
The Chiefs should have never let Tyreek Hill go.
Sheed is the same type of piece. Would be a major mistake.
He is the type of explosive player that changes everything on offense and also how we face a defense.

Olave is washed.
It would be a mistake to sign him to any significant long term contract.

That has a lot more to do either him being a 3 and an even better 4, but we don’t have a 1. That changes coverages and how he is used.

I had to go look at the top WRs pay. Damn. 30-40 million per year.
