I think it would be better to use the roster spot on another corner like mckenzie.

activating him is dumb, signing him and not activating him is even dumber

It means they are really worried about Pierre (thats the scary thing). I wonder if Deuce can contribute and he's not goin to bring anything to Special Teams.

Bell hasnt been running well. And personally I would much rather Hamilton over Deuce. They cant have 5 Rbs on roster sat. (Pierre, Bell, Bush, Deuce, Hamilton) so is hamilton getting left out.

there are plenty of things they could do to get the fans fired up

what was deuces signing bonus??? 400k? 500K?

spend that money on a top notch pre game band, have a pep rally at the facility, if any fan brings more intensity to the dome tomorrow b/c of this, its time they get some help

You're right, I have no idea, but it suggests PT is still hurt. Or it means Hamilton is inactive for the game (which makes zero sense because of his Special Teams acumen). Otherwise, you have five active, healthy runningbacks, while at the sametime only keeping 4 corners, one of whom has been limited in practice this week with a hamstring injury. I just don't get it.

I reggie returning kickoffs? Why so many backs? I understand Pierre hs injured ribs, but Bush and Bell represent the best backups available. Short yardage could be the only reason......

He wouldn't have a signing bonus, unless it's a multi-year deal, which would be absurd. Vet min for him is probably in the $1m range.

The money they would spend on that has NOTHING to do with money they spend on the roster. Ever heard of a budget?

I will say, maybe this is why mysteriously Leisle came down with a knee injury yesterday. They feel comfortable enough with Dline depth to put Leisle on the shelf while singing Deuce for PR purposes.

The reports have the Saints signing McAllister and cutting defensive tackle Rodney Leslie to make room.
