He "allowed" Payton to have 2 7-9 seasons before the SB run.

Because he and Brees had taken a losing franchise to the NFCCG in 2006. Allen has never made the playoffs as a head coach.

DA will NOT be fired today. Mickey told Gayle to keep him during the off-season sale of the Saints. When the new management is in charge, they will keep him one more year. He will be let go if the Saints don’t make the playoffs. Cooper won’t give him any more time if he misses the playoffs again.

I hope it’s Vrabel.

If we upgrade from Allen to Vrabel I may renew my season tickets even though I live 1000 miles away now. Would be best move the franchise has made in probably 3-4 years.

Source works inside the building in Metairie. Is he right? I don't know. But he said it's happening today.

Carr is a better QB than what Vrabel has/ had. The Titans were 1 dimensional under Tannehil which most playoff teams will expose.

Absolutely no chance they wait this late to fire him. I’d love to be wrong though.

No shot unless Gruden is named HC, which I don’t see just yet. And they’d have to go through Rooney interviews.

Allen stays, Gruden as assistant HC is my bet

Hurricane in the Duncan thread is saying Carmichael is out and they will likely move Curry to OC (something I have been saying).

This isn’t really new info. This was leaked weeks ago during the season by the media to prepare fans anus that Allen woukd be back.

Anyone with any sense woukd know Allen is a lame duck coach and won’t take the OC job unless they are truly desperate. So you likely won’t get a good hire, hence the promotion of Curry.

Vrabel's HC record, much better than Allen's overall but on a 2 year slide while Allen has improved last 2 years

Has he really improved or just played the easiest schedule in saints history this year? B/c there is zero doubt about that. And still couldn’t make the playoffs. And injuries were not a major issue this year, unlike csp’s last year.

Underhill just said he expects major changes on DA’s coaching staff. Everyone might be gone.
