No way Haener or Rattler wouldn’t be poached.

Heaner is nothing special.

Haener has solid backup written all over home. Rattler has the potential to be a real starter

We need extra OL because our depth is bad, we have multiple NFL level RBs as cheap options, and we have two backups that multiple teams would be interested in.

With Taysom on the roster, a #3 QB isn't necessary. Keep Rattler and try to trade Haener for anything you can get.

He looks like a solid career backup. Hard to let that go.

I don’t see anyone grabbing Haener over their own back ups.

Go look at the back up’s in this league before you say something so ridiculous.

This game showed me everything I needed to see from Haener. I hope we cut him and Jacobson

Pretty dumb comment.

Put Haener with starters and you’ll see he’s a good backup QB.

Haener’s a joke. No way another team carries him on their roster. Saints can easily put him on practice squad but honestly, I wouldn’t bother.

I agree he would make it thru Waivers. I don't think Rattler would make it through. Some team would grab him.

Cut Haener and if he makes it past waivers, practice squad him if you can.

Ok

If we do put him on the PS I bet he’s scooped this season. Guaranteed.

You got a Haener jersey or something?

Rattler has waaaay more upside. You’re worried our 3rd string QB will be someone else’s cherished back up? Oh noooo

You’re completely missing my point and taking this the wrong way.

I’m implying he’s the future and Haener is the future backup.

Hopefully trade Carr after this season.

That would be about as perfect of a situation as possible cap-wise if they’re both ready to grab those positions in the next couple of seasons. There will be matter of Carr’s dead money whether we cut him or

Not sure there’s gonna be a huge market for him with his salary. Not sure we could get much for him either, which is fine. If Ratt or Jake are ready to start next year, I’d basically give Carr away for a 5th and probably pick up a good bit of his ‘25 salary if that’s what it takes. I never understand how all the dead money works in NFL trades, though. It might not even be possible.
