What is this trying to prove? Sounds like the panel was trying to justify the decision and just weren't crazy about doing it from victory formation.

Ironically, wasn't Winston part of those TB teams that were catching a lot of heat because the HC (maybe Arians) had the defense rushing opposing teams kneeling the ball trying to force a turnover.

I went to Provo during the summer before we played BYU in the dome. Went by LaVell Edwards stadium and tried to hang an LSU flag there. I backed the rental car up to the fence but could not reach the pole. Town is beautiful clean and safe, just like uptown New Orleans. The gang went hiking up the hill where the huge arse Y is. Found a bar on the strip and it CC was closed. Had dinner in an Indian Restaurant which was surprisingly good. Felt so safe walking the street. The strip had more ice cream shops than I have ever seen. If you can visit you should.

Taysom in his after game presser sounded like a guy on his way out. Talking very nostalgically about his time in New Orleans.

I don’t understand arguing this. It looks douchey but that’s the only way that play happens without Allen calling a timeout and putting Carr in

most likely heading to denver to rejoin with Payton

i dont think there is another team out there who would be able to use him properly

i dont see him as a must have, go get that guy on my team, for anyone other than payton

In part, Victory formation is to help protect players at the end of the game.

It's an unspoken understanding between the players.

Dumbass Winston and the team violated that understanding.

Why wasn't Carr in there anyway? i know it was a sudden change possession change but had he left to take a dump or something? Its the last couple of snaps of the year. Shouldn't he be taking those?

Agreed. I said the same thing in another thread:
quote:

DA ordered the V formation. If the players audible out of the V formation or never line up in the V formation, DA would have stopped the play with a timeout and replaced most of them with other players to execute kneel downs. The players were tricking their own head coach more than the Falcons to get a hard working teammate a TD.

I'd hate to see him go but I'm also kind of like well we have to start addressing the roster some time and if it benefits the cap and we could get maybe a mid round pick in return ok.

he wont bring any pick, not even a 7th rounder

as for cap space, he was always on cheap team friendly contracts so little to nothing to be saved their either.

taysom knows they dont have any clue how or when to use him so he wants out of this dumpster fire BS organization that is happy to keep DA.

if payton can get him, he will get him, but it will be as a FA

Reading between the lines, it wasn’t just Winston. Don’t recall who on the panel said it, but apparently some of Atl’s defenders asked if they were going to run a play and no one from Nola answered. Made it sound like it was a normal thing to ask so they know to just take it easy. Sounds like Winston isn’t the only one that should be getting heat here

That right, Schiano. Forgot he was there, but now I recall being really happy when TB brought him in
