Simpson hasn’t been impressive

I hope they don’t think about drafting him top 5

Unfortunately, the QB crop is lackluster.
That’s a shame after the season that everyone around here wanted us to have to get a top 3-5 pick.

I would say let's go the free agent QB route but the last that happened it was Derek Carr.
I cannot trust this fricking front office at all.
I'm at the point where I almost want them to fail to see a change but that won't happen.

I mean Loomis poured gas all over the house and burnt it down.
But hey let’s just let him rebuild it when he has no fricking clue what he’s doing.

This draft class is not good. I would stack up on picks for next years class if possible. Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, Arch manning, etc.

Jeremiah Smith,
that would be a player I'd be interested in.
my concern is the way this team is currently built.
but at some point, you have to throw strategy out of the window and just take the best players on the board.
I don't think the Saints do that.
Mickey is a high and mighty a-hole who values character too much.
Hey. let's pick team captains from these college teams! We need leaders!

Then he randomly tossed that out of the window and drafted Olave and Penning in the span of 1 hour lol

I hear you, but they cannot field a competent team with shithead and Opie as the qbs again. The dome would be empty week 1.
There will be a few retreads available next season (Cousins, probably Mac Jones) that will cost market value but would be worth it just for stability over the next 2-3 seasons.
The difference between Carr at that time was the team thought they were headed to the SB and had no cap room. Even if they have to give the new qb decent $, the team will be in a much better place.
With a top 5 pick (likely non qb) next year and an actual nfl starter at qb, this team will look somewhat competent, even winning 6-7 games. A good qb can be drafted in 27 or even 28 if the other pieces are in place, but the team will have to endure another bad one in 26 (but hopefully not as bad as this one).

They should have traded Taylor and Werner.
Granderson , Cam and Kamara.
Start the Rebuild.

Simpson looked better than Mendoza yesterday. But in reality, none of the QBs are really looking like franchise QBs at this point.
We just need to draft the best available player as we have needs everywhere.

Kyler Murray is the only real attainable QB you can get this offseason.
And be prepared to pay in draft picks and his contract. But given these QB prospects and what we currently have id be tempted. They arent getting a first for him with that contract

Carr was borderline top 10 when healthy.
Team had bigger issues

I’d love the pick. Just seems like he’d work his arse off and is lightyears better than the bums on this roster. Ty is deadly accurate and sneaky mobile.

He missed a few wide open throws last night but ok I guess.

Yeah I watched the game. I mean 66% comp rate and 21 tds to 1 int is pretty salty I’d say. He did have a tough time being blitzed on every single play though while facing an nfl caliber secondary which LSU has.
