Andy Reid was drafting Mahomes at 10 regardless since they were desperate for a QB. Lattimore was projected to go 4-8 and fell into our lap at 11. Saints DB’s were horrible and we needed a shut down corner. Both teams filled their draft needs

Love Burrow but you can’t possibly do better than a SB and and MVP in 2 seasons.

Brother there is as much actual facts and bullshite that gets floated around for the draft....Cant fault the organization for that circus. KC found a partner and went get their guy. Prob tried earlier too but couldnt find a partner or a price they were willing to pay.

Dont think it was a leak to say that the saints might take a qb based on Drews age...hell everyone thought we were taking Lamar Jackson this past year.

So we're just going to pretend that it was obvious that Mahomes was going to be THIS good? Come on.

Also, people are making the same silly mistake. How do you use hindsight...and still miss the actual lesson we should learn?

Look. Mahomes was talented, but no one had him pegged as not only a franchise QB, but next in line for best QB in the entire league. Show me someone saying that, and that person deserves a million dollars if they weren't just guessing.


What you look for is someone with the talent and the mind to potentially become something like a Mahomes. Someone who no one sees as a lock for elite, but...the talent is there.

People assume Burrow is that good already, so he can't be Mahomes. He'd be Andrew Luck with, hopefully, no where near the injury history.

Much as people might push back, the actual candidates to be the next Mahomes is guys like Jordan Love. Talented. Flanked by inferior talent and often made to look worse than they are.
