The same player that got 10 sacks in 12 games?

The Bears and Patriots were 4 or 5 win teams last year. So were the Jags. Things happen fast when the right people are in the building.

We aren't the Jets or Giants. The Saints are 1 good off-season away from being competitive again. It also doesn't hurt that the NFC South as a whole is down during the rebuild.

He’s a fine talent, but you can’t count on the guy to build a defense around.

I mean you have Cam Jordan as a blueprint for franchise lynchpin, and Young up to this point would not match him on any level. Or even come close, frankly. I’m glad they have Young but he has not earned that designation yet.

I disagree. Not only did he put up numbers this year but he made plays in big moments. And he did all of this with zero help up the middle.

Late fourth quarter sack v Panthers, strip fumble td when we needed it vs Tennessee, late game sack to end a Jets drive, multiple big plays today during key drives. If 2025 Chase Young is not an outlier he’s absolutely a building block.

Again, its not the talent; he is a perennial 10 sack guy if healthy. He's missed 30% of his career games. If you have to talk yourself into, it aint real.

Roger Staubach entered the league as a rookie at 27.

Also during an era when quarterbacks were not protected. Worked out pretty well for the Cowboys.

I promise I am not trying to set you up. But if you had to list out the Saints' 10 best players from this season, how would you rank them?

It was always incredibly stupid.

In the NFC South, maybe. We're at least 2 good offseasons away from being competitive for a deep playoff run.
