Shedur Sanders Pro Day Highlights

Check out the link above. Anyone notice anything concerning about Shedur's throws?

Let me break it down for you. THE STUPID BALL PAT BEFORE EVERY SINGLE THROW.

It makes for the LONGEST release in the NFL. He also telegraphs every single throw because of that dumb pat. DBs at the NFL level are going to catch on quickly, and as soon as he Pats the ball, they are going to close the gap quickly to either break the play up or INT.

How the hell did his Dad allow this to continue when he played DB at such an elite level is the most concerning part for me.

Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford. Know what they have in common? They all do the ball pat. Yes, it is a net negative, but it isn't a trait that you can determine if a guy is going to be bad or not.

WRONG.

Tom Brady Doesnt Pat the Ball

Aaron Rogers No Longer Pats the Ball

Patrick Mahomes only Ball Pats on the Move but never in the Pocket

So do you think you are the only person out there that noticed this? Like all of these professionals that have watched hours and hours of film on him haven’t seen what you see? Yet no one really brings that up. Also in the 1 video you posted you do realize more than half of those clips were from the same throw that they just kept replaying over and over. But I saw a few throws in that video that he didn’t do it for. Also did you stop to think that maybe it’s a timing thing? He’s buying time until the route develops and that’s what he did on those particular throws. Also I’m sure that’s not something that can be fixed with coaching either right? So let’s just write the guy off now. You should update your resume since you are smarter than everyone else out there.

Do you not think that if that is a problem that the coaches will not address that? Do you think k they’d draft a high QB and be like “this guy doesn’t need coaching at all!”

I imagine coaches have tried to correct this. There are tons of QBs that were good in college that brought bad habits/mechanics to the NFL and couldn’t adjust. Let me know if you need a list

Cool. But he wasn't "good"... He was/is elite. You guys are fools. He is going to change a franchise in a very good way. People are going to look back at the shedeur/cam ward debate like they do the Peyton/Ryan leaf debate. Which side do you want to be on? Remember Ryan's crazy strong arm and Peyton's wet noodle arm?

I don't think Leaf bringing bad mechanics was his issue. I think it was the opioids. So bad comp.

Deion did a great job with skill position acquisition in the portal but never got the trenches fixed. Shedeur had to run for his life most of the time. I think he could be successful in the NFL. I think he and the Miami kid are the only QBs to give a serious first round look at this year.

Just to be clear, I am not advocating the Saints take him. I am saying people who are trashing him because he is Deion's kid or CU QB or whatever are stupid. We don't know if he is elitte, but its worth the staff talking it over.

If he fails inthe NFL I doubt it will be because of patting the ball.

Man Cam Newton basically said patting the in timing routes/passes.. it's something the QBs do to keep them on time and also for them to know if a wr is out of sync...

Also if it's a quick slant or anything that's faster the QB will not pay the ball
