He made a prediction, it wasn't childish. Plenty of people have made predictions very similar and been completely wrong, possibly even you. I'm no huge Dungy supporter, but come the frick on. The only reason you care is because he picked against your team.

not bold, stupid arse predictions like that, as if the saints had no prayer, and weren't even supposed to be in the Super Bowl, you are way off on this one.

Sharper is at the end of his career.
He probably wont ever have the chance to make millions again once he is done with football ,and hes only 35, which means he has a lot of years left on this earth. He has already won a superbowl. If i were him i would try to get as much money as i can now, from whatever team.

No, he did not make a prediction like everyone else. His tone and attitude was one of arrogance and a dissmissal of the Saints legitimacy in the Superbowl.

Normal Prediction: Colts will beat the Saints in the SB

Dungy Prediction: "I think they're going to be so far ahead that people are going to say, 'Oh, ho-hum, [Peyton Manning] played a good game, they won by two scores, the Colts won their second championship,' '' Dungy told the New York Times earlier this week. "He's going to have those rings Sunday night. I don't think it's going to be close.''

That's more than your average prediction, and you're being disingenuous to claim that it is.

I am a Dungy supporter, so I am not one coming from an anti-Dungy mindset. I still am a fan of his, even though I found him arrogant during the lead up to the game. And while I would've found his statements arrogant and not appropriate for a TV commentator if it were not my team in the SB, it does piss me off even more since it was my team. So, what's your fricking point?

I don't mind D.S.. It's his last paycheck and he's pokin every haystack he can. It has also been a very slow off season for moves with the Saints this year

Still see him with the team next year.

And Dungy can still 'suck it' .

back off chad. dungy was being a homer. you would have said the same thing if you were talking about the saints. who gives a rats arse. we won and made him look like a fool in the process upsetting his beloved little peyton.

makes it all the more meaningful to win, when he (and most others as well) felt that way about the saints.

Exactly. Absolutely nothing wrong with a guy wanting to make as much money as humanly possible. Its what we do every day at our jobs. Stirring interest and showing one team that another could sign him isn't cheap or dirty or being a bitch.

And before anyone starts doing the whole "but he makes way too much to play a game" bullshite, remember that while Sharper is fighting for that extra million, owners are making tens of millions every year. Sharper will be retired in 2 years. Owners make money for decades.

We all want our Saints to sign the first deal offered and say how they'll play for free as long as they stay in New Orleans, but its a business. A player has about an 8 year window (if he stays healthy) to make good money for his next 60 years. I've got no issue with someone trying to maximize that window. And if you do, you're just a hater.

Good, don't let the door hit him in the arse. We don't need him to win. Go to the Redskins and watch the overrated McNabb choke a few more chances.

Imagine the nerve of Sharper, trying to negotiate the best possible salary for himself. What a douche, especially since he sucked so bad during that Super Bowl run and so underperformed for that gaudy paycheck he received last season.

Try divorcing your dumb-arse emotions from the sport sometime and realize that the NFL is a business. Thank God you're not running anything more important than that fry machine.

I don't care if he tries to get more money elsewhere. Why shouldn't he try to get paid more than he currently is.

I just don't see any team willing to break the bank on him for a year or two. If they wanted him that bad, they would have already made an offer.

What about his public comments that the Saints were trying to low ball him? Some shite doesn’t need to be public.

With a sales line like that Sharper could be a great Amway salesman.
