You do realize he’s been on the field alot the last two games, where we have been in hurry up psss only mode the entire 4th quarter. And he has one catch.
This just sucks b/c Shaheed at elite deep speed but was useless with Rattler. Shough throws the deep ball much better but has been inaccurate.

Shaheed will probably be in line for a Josh Palmer type contract, which was 3 years/$29 million with $18m guaranteed.
That’s more than we should paying a second receiver at this stage of our rebuild. Maybe we shouldn’t have made the Vele trade and just kept that fourth rounder, but at this point that’s a separate discussion from trading Shaheed (for the record I think Sean fleeced us and I’d much rather have the number 100 pick in the draft).

Sounds like Loomis reslky got bent over in the Veke trade then. Because I’d much prefer the top pick in the 4th round compared to a low 4th and 5th rounder.

maybe but you're limited to playoff teams needing a WR who will eat sheed's cap and risk the possibility of not re-signing him in free agency and spending draft capital for a 7 game playoff run. Saints secured something pretty valuable. Solid job.
