Your a fricking dillweed just like SFP. why did the entire professional football world have Ingram rated as a first round pick and not the other backs if they are all one in the same. Eat a dick and get over yourself.

Guess you missed that post where I said I wanted Ingram at #24.

you mean including the 1st we have to give up next year too?

I hate when people say this. Ingram was a 1st round pick that cancels out the 1st round pick for next year. We gave up a 2nd rounder. The question is,is Ingram enough of an impact player to have given up a 2nd rounder and I say yes he is.

Exactly. I guess no one remembers we sucked last year when guess what? We couldn't run the fricking ball. Giving up a 2nd rounder is worth it IMO.

SFP may end up being right but he may be wrong. However, comparing college stats proves nothing.

Troy Davis 4,000+ yds rushing vs. Rest of '97 RB Class

He should have been a 1st rder based on this logic.

the cost wasa 2nd. A 1st this year for a 1st next year is a net gain...not a cost.

Having said that, yes...all things considered including the cost to acquire the pick.

Funny that you think the saints fricked up taking Ingram yet the professionals are saying the patriots probably fricked up by passing on Ingram. But alas, you're probably right.

The level of competition argument is more relevant for some positions than others, IMO

you cant use just numbers.

the saints liked ingram. it could be other stuff like they feel ingram has a team first mentality and will fit into rbbc better. other stuff that doesnt show up in stats like blocking and making mistakes also fit in. you cant just throw out some numbers and say 1 player is equal to another.

the saints liked ingram better so they did what they had to do to get him. if they are wrong they are wrong.... but they have a good track record on draft picks so far.

Ingram could turn out to be emmitt smith

I don't think so. Dallas was a run first offense designed around Smith. There is no way Payton does that.

it's dumb to say we could have gotten someone just as good in the 2nd? How do you really know that

not nearly as dumb as people assuming Ingram will be E Smith. Recent NFL history shows us that there is a glut of RB talent, there is no need to give up a high draft pick to get one.

Funny that your reading comprehension sucks. For the THIRD time in this thread alone...I wanted Ingram with the 24th pick. I love Ingram as a Saint. I was saying what SFP said last night rang true. That's all...

Ingram fits a massive need for the saints. He is not going to get Emmitt Smith numbers in the Saints offense.

what does that have to do with anything? Jesus you SECtards are ridiculous and make us all look like goobers. Do you know what league Ladanian Tomlinson played in? How did playing in the SEC translate into the NFL for McFadden, JR?

Deshaun fricking Wynn...

We swapped ones with NE and gave them a 2nd. I'll take that any day of the week.

can you assure me that Ingram will never get hurt? Because that's why there were scrubs running against Seattle.

Well SFP didnt want Ingram in the first round so you cant disagree with SFP and at the same time agree with SFP.
