Not because I'm an LSU homer (disclaimer: I am) , but because I noticed a lot of pre snap jet sweep action (heavily utilized by Canada at LSU) today that I don't recall being a regular part of the offense.

I like it. This offense looks incredible.

Carolina uses it a lot and we likely saw other teams use it against Buf to great effect. I'd think we got it from watching other NFL teams before we'd pick it up from a college team.

We used to run this in years past with Devry Henderson and Reggie Bush in the backfield.

No revelation here.

Payton tried to use those plays to run out the clock one time if you remember (and lost us the game). And we scored in that Atlanta Domecoming game with that play. That's far from something he just picked up this year

Not about that. I'm saying he probably got the idea to use it today from watching another team use it effectively against the Bills. There's zero chance he got the idea watching LSU.

Fair enough. Appreciate the downvotes. Lol.

Just glad we aren't stagnant on offense and bring in wrinkles when it fits.

Short answer: No lol.

Actual answer: We have a guy in Ginn that we can line up in a variety of looks with. For example, that 4th down play we motioned him deep in the backfield behind Ingram. I've never seen us do that before. Every week we bring out a few new wrinkles on offense and most of them work. It's been fun to watch because up until this week we haven't looked as dominant as we can be. It's amazing what having a healthy OL does for us.

It looks very similar to the Chiefs motion jet sweep option, which Andy Reid stated he got from Pitt (Canada). Multiple options to choose from on those plays.

It’s definitely not the same trash reverses we ran (and often failed) with Devery and Reggie.

It didn't help that I watched LSU and Saints back to back on DVR. Lol. Same presnap motion got my wheeels turning.

Like I said. Either way it's good to see our offense evolve and become tougher to defend.

Gotta admit, this offense could be the best we've ever seen.

Bob, you’re not far off base.
Andy Reid has been highly complimentary of Matt Canada’s offense and I believe has incorporated some of it into his own.
I do know Matt Canada wouldn’t have called a passing play after a 95 yard drive on all running plays.

Consider LSUs offense manages to move the ball without a legit passing threat due to the misdirection.

Don't be obtuse and suggest that college plays have zero chance of influencing NFL plays. There's a lot of read option in the NFL now for example.

It's not a stretch.
