LE - comes on thread mad about Taysom’s contract. Then argues that everyone else is angry. Says he’s never seen SFP angry, like the beta he is.

SFP - frick this contract, I dont give a flying frick blah blah blah. Curses up a storm. Then says P bean/others is/are angry.

This is an epic circle jerk of frickery. Ya’ll are basically the same a-hole.

You ask and you shall receive SFP. Let me educate you.

LINK /

This is from several years ago. Top Gunners were making between 1-3 million (more than I said). Its not an outlier dude.

Annnddd Taysom also returns kicks. So again his special teams value alone is 1-2 milly.

GTF.

a lot of those guys were regular outfield players on rookie contrats (rainey, gilbert, johnson, jones, van noy, dixon etc.)

stuckey, easley, and slater were ST only guys. so like 3 guys

that wasn't anger

it was to signal hyperbole that my comments aren't about his salary in a vacuum, and then i transitioned the focus to the important area: cap implications NEXT year

I’m one of the few crazy peeps that believe in Hill as a starting QB in this league. However, I also just love shenanigans-heavy football, and a Saints team coached by Sean Payton and led by Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill just sounds like way too much fun and chaos to exist in real life.

With that said, the Saints will face a real dilemma next year with how to pay Ram, Lattimore, and Kamara.

ETA: Kamara, Marcus Williams, and Rankins

Ram and Lattimore are under contract in 2021.

Kamara, Rankins, and Marcus Williams are not.

that's my concern. this contract make that situation MUCH harder

that's why i tried to steer the focus there. people keep thinking about losing Hill in 2020, but that's not really possible (and we could have had him on a much cheaper deal, which was Les's main points)

it also makes no sense to sign Jameis to a relatively big deal for 1 year and sign Hill to a bigger deal for 2 years?

would fans turn away Drew for 2021 if he decides to come back?

Seems like a ridiculous amount of money for him, especially with Winston coming in as well.

Drew coming back would really complicate things, but I think this is his last hurrah. Granted, I thought that last year too.

Who do you think gunners are? Backup wr’s/db’s/safeties etc. clown. Dont troll and change the point in question, which was how much are special teamers paid. No one said the question was limited to special teams only players - those are kickers, punters, and snappers dude, everyone else on special teams plays another position.

And like I said the top gunners (regardless of their alternative positions) are making 1-2 mill a year. Not including the value of return men Taysom’s special teams value is safely in that range.

What you think returners are getting?

And no that doesnt mean that have to be kick returners only doofus; most will have another position played.

No. More like 1-3 milly a year in 2016 for 15 guys. Because that’s the average contract for top gunners. SFP refuses to read an article. He only writes them on message boards.

LINK

He had several good returns in 2018. We throw him back there like we throw Kamara back there, because he is dangerous with the ball in his hands.

Uh do you even watch the games or you just post LE.

No shite he only had 1 return last year, due to the emergence of SP’s new project Deonte Harris.

And Jason Vander Laan has literally never been a kick returner. He caught a squib kick moron. He didnt get lined up as kick returner.

Taysom was placed at kick returned as our starter in 2018.

So yeah not the same but keep fluffing your bullshite LE.

Taysom was the starting kick returner the year before and he will return kicks there again as needed.

Like I said his special teams value is not limited to gunner.
