Outside of a scheduling conflict, yes they open up at home against a quality team that will draw an audience and the league thinks they will be able to beat. I think Cowboys or Saints are the ideal opponents for the league.

Look at TB home schedule. If they were playing NE at home, that would be the game to open the season on Thursday. Saints are the best option. Saints without Brees is still the team to contend for division title against TB. NO vs TB to open the season. Would be shocked if that’s not the game.
