Doesn’t the raiders have to cut him by Feb 15 or pay him 40 million guaranteed.
Just wait till they cut him and keep our 3rd. If Carr wants to be here then he won’t sign anywhere else in the next 7 days

I have a feeling we aren’t trading for him but this visit lets us know we are at the top of his list. I think he’s going to wait to get cut and take a visit to the Jets. After that, we’ll know where he’s going

IF they are married to the idea, a third for him, take Hooker in the second, Spears or Tank B with our next pick, and hope this works going forward would be about as good as we can hope for...Not really sure what will be there in the first...Perhaps a DE/DT or a half decent OG

Going to not only take on his insane contract but we are also going to give them a 3rd round pick for the pleasure of being fricked. This team makes me sad.

If he's smart he lets his contract expire and becomes a free agent. And New York and 20 milliom plus a year or so is not a bad deal but who knows.

You also have a laundry list of teams that need a QB. A 3rd is not horrible for an established QB
Really want to try an outbid the rest of the NFC South, Washington, Indy, jets etc?

One thing that people are forgetting. If we sign him, he will count as a huge free agent signing against the compensatory picks. So if davenport gets a ton of money, and we sign Carr as free agent, its a wash and we don't get a pick. If we trade a 4th for Carr, it helps our cap more than just signing him, and we would likely get a 3rd round compensatory pick for davenport and not signing Carr.

This has absolutely 0% chance of ending in anything other than us landing a top 10 pick and then trading him for a worse pick, than the one we gave up to get him in the first place.
Don't trade anything for Carr. Let them release him and then make an offer. If you don't land him, so what? Just resign Dalton and be in exactly the same boat.
