Panthers take Leonard Fournette
That will be a hard pill to swallow on draft day if it works out that way.

me too.
I would've gone defense for them if LF7 was off the board.

I don't see Carolina taking Fournette if he is somehow there personally.
Best thing you get from Fournette is that teams know if he hits the hole at full speed, your secondary is fricking toast. So teams commit a lot of capital in the middle towards hitting him in the hole with some momentum, whether with LBs or with a safety (usually LBs). Frees up some of the middle of the field for easy throws there. IMO the Panthers already have some of these sorts of advantages with Cam in the backfield, teams are committing additional help in the box to stop him from running. Yeah that would be even stronger if they had LF but IMO they would benefit more from an elite slot/flat player, whether a WR or a RB like McCaffrey.
Plus, Carolina plays out of the shot gun a LOT (almost 50% of the time - 8th in the NFL). Fournette is an I-formation guy. Learning curve.
Either way I think he's gone at 4 anyway so no point in debating it really

Greg Olsen could be in last year of his deal. not sure what gets him out of 18 year. OJ Howard is in play with Carolina imo. Fournette could be a tough pass though. Fournette isn't getting past bengals.

I don't disagree.
Fournette just seems like he goes along with what Carolina likes to do.
Run the ball more often than throw and play tough defense.
plus I'm sure they don't want Cammy Cam to keep taking hits like he has.

i'm about to step out in a few. 11 pick will be deliberated closer to 1 o clock. don't everyone get panties in a wad. May put together top 4 logical names and tally votes. Or i may not.

Yup I'm heading out to pick up lunch in a few but will check in to see if Cincy has made their pick.

Fournette has to go to the Jets, Panthers, or Jags. No way all 3 pass on him.

Totally agree.
I hope the Panthers don't take him trust me but I also think they'd be fricking nuts not to.
I even thought about picking CM for them but I feel like Fournette's style of play is a better fit than McCaffery's for them.
teams wouldn't just be able to worry about just Cam mainly anymore. It could set up play action for them better
still makes me want to puke thinking about it though

Let's go Cincinnati. What's the holdup?
Posted on 4/20/17 at 1:09 pm to Sinister1
Yeah. I wouldn't give Mr. Hangover much past, say, 2pm.

I think the Jags hold the key to the top 10. If they take LF7 instead of JA that changes the entire complexion of the top half of the first round IMO(No trades). That would mean that Carolina would then do what? Cook, McCaffrey, Howard, best defensive player available?

you hit the nail on the head. JAX has a chance to throw a wrench in the top 10. I hope they do:
A. I don't want to see LF7 playing with cry baby cam, and be our division rival.
B. It'll make things way more entertaining and interesting.

Oh, and I'll take the Bucs if you need me to.
