Apparently, New Orleans is ready to try Garrett Hartley again. Of course, Hartley cost the team a game against the Falcons earlier this season.
The Saints also announced that cornerback Reggie Jones(notes) has been re-signed to the practice squad. Linebacker Harry Coleman was released to make room.

Carney's still best known for kicks he's missed, not made. Say what you want about Hartley, that will never be the case for him.

OMG we cut Carney? Ouch, I know missing a 29 yarder is bad but, that kick was straighter than those helicopters Hartley had been kicking. Not just in the first few games but dating back to his preseason where many of his extra points were hooked badly and slipped in. I know I'm in the minority wanting Carney but Hartley has been kicking ducks this year. I hope he has his swing back. He scares the hell out of me.
