re: How can Nutt save his job?

Posted by JoboReb on 9/27/11 at 11:44 pm to
I think his job will be saved. But not by anything he will have done. Pete Boone will be the first to go, and he WILL be gone by the end of the season. I also know that we're not lucky enough to get rid of both this year.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong though.

The Help

I'll swallow my pride and give The Help some love, but the best movie of the year has to be The King's Speech. And it's not close.

Community

Community is an incredible show, but yes it is a love/hate type of show. You either love it or you hate it. However, it would be worth watching it at least once to give it a chance.

Also might want to give Big Bang Theory a look.
Von Miller. Dat was a fantastic player in his day, but Von is just so versatile. Just a great all-around player. A guy that legitimately scared offenses.

This was my first time to actually watch the show, and it seems pretty awesome. Good cast, and the showgirls will definitely be nice to look at whenever the rest of the cast starts to get annoying.

But seriously America. Why can't we have any gay-free tv shows anymore?

Hartwell

John Hartwell is basically Ole Miss's assistant athletic director. He would not be my first choice.

Archie is rumored to become the new Interim AD, but I do not think he would be interested in becoming the full-time AD. My guess is either Danny White or Michael Thompson becomes the new full-time AD.

The Help

I'm sure there is another thread out there for this movie, but I didn't see one so I just decided to start one.

Today I saw "The Help" with Emma Stone. It was fantastic. I highly recommend everyone seeing it.

Friday Night Lights
Donnie Darko
Remember The Titans
Jerry Maguire
Empire Records
Reggie Bush/Tracy Porter/David Thomas
I know I'm asking a lot but I'd love to see Auburn stripped of the National Title.
Cecil Newton taken to jail.
Trooper and Chizik with their asses on the street.
Arkansas and Mississippi State going into Little Rock on Nov. 19 with 0 wins apiece.

Actually this is year 4. You seem to forget that 5-7 record his first year.

re: Clemson Recruiting

Dabo is a heck of a recruiter, and I think Chad Morris's no-huddle offense, fast-paced offense is a tremendous draw for kids. Not to mention they have pretty decent tradition, pretty good facilities, and Clemson is a great city.
Most of the Oklahoma Message Boards are conceding Kiel to Bama now.
I live about 2 miles from the Missouri border and it is NOT the South. I would consider most of Arkansas part of the South, but there are some parts that have a very Midwestern feel.
Great move to pick up Giordano!
The Hotty Toddy man might as well be Greendale Community College's Human Being mascot.

re: Manchester United?

United played fantastic defense. But even with Rooney out they should of had 2+ goals.

What they need to do is go out and get a good, young striker ala Alexis Sanchez or Luis Saurez. No matter what the cost.

Manchester United?

What's wrong with Man U? 0-0 against freaking Sunderland! That's pathetic.

Cutler is a pussy. Plain and simple. Eli has the ring.

re: Terminator Salvation

I actually thought that it was a pretty decent movie. The storyline wasn't great I'll give ya'll that, but it was entertaining. Much better than Terminator 3 IMO. And it also doesn't hurt that Moon Bloodgood is insanely hot!

Dexter McCluster

He didn't have the kind of 40 time that many expected, but he really showed out on the bench. I can't remember the exact amount, but it was at least 25.

I have always loved the pistol offense. Its the best of both worlds. It allows the quarterback to see the field better, but it also allows the running back to gain some momentum before taking a handoff.

The pistol would really harness the abilities of Masoli and Bolden.
I really like Chip Kelly and what he is building up there in Oregon. But Brian Kelly is a proven winner, plain and simple. However, I think they are both very good coaches. Slight nod goes to Brian though.

re: Hartley shouldn't lose his job...

Posted by JoboReb on 9/29/10 at 6:18 pm to
Just give him the rest of the year. We won the Super Bowl with Hartley kicking for us last year. The guy is just going through a slump, albeit a big slump. But if kickers are such a dime a dozen then we can find someone else next year.

re: AJ Green back next year?

Posted by JoboReb on 9/29/10 at 5:57 pm to
He is not coming back, but he does deserve alot of respect for admitting that he made a mistake and wants to make it up.
Patrick Peterson is the BEST DB in the country right now. Gerald Jones is a nobody. nuff said.

re: Biggest Douche NFL Starting QB

Posted by JoboReb on 9/28/10 at 10:36 pm to
Tier 1: Michael Vick, Ben Roethlisberger
Tier 2: Jay Cutler, Brett Favre
Non-starters: Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn, Jimmy Clausen, Colt Brennan (people forget that he raped someone too)

I love Philip Rivers's antics. He seems to be a good guy, just extremely competitive.
QB- Greg McElroy (he wins, simple as that)
RB- Mark Ingram, Darren McFadden
WR- AJ Green, Alshon Jeffery, Dwayne Bowe
DL- Marcel Dareus, Greg Hardy, Drake Nevis, Carlos Dunlap
LB- Donta' Hightower, Demeco Ryans, Brandon Spikes
CB- Joe Haden, Stephon Gilmore
SS- Chad Jones, Laron Landry
KR/PR- Felix Jones
