Almost fast enough to catch someone scoring a touchdown? I'm just trying to understand how this makes him a "special teams animal", as you put it.
me saying he was good was a seperate statement from the video i posted showing how fast he was.
obviously being fast doesn't make you automatically good
i guess i'll have to seperate my paragraphs for you so you can understand me better isntead of jumping straight to being a huge a-hole
my buddy is a huge colts fan so every time he made a play on ST, he would brag about him.
when i'd watch a colt game when he played for them, i remember seeing him all over the field on ST.
that better for you? understand now?

quote:Lets see here, he ran down one of the fastest returners in NFL history. We don't play teams with Hester returning every week. With normal returners they wont get past the 20 with Giordanos speed on special teams coverage. Hes taking the place of Wynn who has done nothing on special teams. What is so hard to comprehend here. Maybe we can get Admins to make it where you can write in crayon on here, would that make it easier for you?

No he didn't. That's the point.

you might as well do something better with your time than argue with this guy. now he's arguing just to argue.
it's a good signing to help our special teams play with reis going down for the year. i can't wait to see what this guy does on the field!

Yep, his ability to almost catch people will be pretty fun to watch.

I swear Payton must hate kickers more than anything in life, he has had more cuts/signs with kickers in his tenure than any coach in years

Payton:
“The idea with Matt Giordano was to help in special teams. He’s someone that we were familiar with and really the last few weeks has been rehabbing what was a groin. He was last in Atlanta’s training camp. That would be the significance of his signing. In regards to Julius Jones, it’s really just an additional back. I’ve seen it perceived as that we’re disappointed with the other two and that wouldn’t be the case. It’s really to have depth right now. We’ll see where Pierre (Thomas) is at this week. The swelling has continued to go down; there’s still some soreness. It really just gives us depth at that position and if in the case that Pierre is unable to go this week, Julius would be the third halfback up and involved in the rotation.”
Does he play special teams?
“No, he does not. Giordano for special teams, Julius Jones for running back depth.”
