Stay away from Minitron, hes ours

(And just to be objectively accurate for your description of him this way the first season hes been able to stay healthy for an entire season, he doesnt have the flash of Amendolas or Gronks injury history but he has a history)

I think u could def get 2 firsts for jimmy. He's a differbece maker and if you traded him to the rams or the browns who I think both have 2 number ones this year u do it and that makes their team revelant and gets people excited. Get a 1st this year and next as well as a 4th. He's worth that. I love jimmy but I'd trade him for that package. Imagine the browns with jimmy and Jordan Cameron. Matchup night mare as well as josh Gordon. Decent qb top 5 offense

I, too, have been thinking this would be a good idea. And what does the number of posts have to do with the merit of the idea?

The Browns do have two first round picks. They have the 4th and the 26th. More importantly than having another weapon to go with Gordon, they need the most important position filled.

The Browns will likely be going after Manziel, or Bridgewater. They desperately need a quarterback. So, they likely will not trade the 4th pick of the draft. I would not trade Graham for a late first. No chance.

I'm not saying trade him or don't. What i see is the cap ramifications if we do (especially at a WR type contract). My thought process is this. Add up the contracts/cap hits for Drew + Jahri + Grubbs and the potential of Jimmy's new deal and you have a lions share of the cap tied up on 4 players. Then what about the likes of Cam Jordan next year and free agency or other players we want to keep. In order stay competitive tough decisions will have to be made. I trust Loomis/Payton, but 2 first rounders could be tempting.

Trusting TWO unproven rookies over a potentially GOAT TE?

Not a fricking chance

Just tag him and go all in on winning it next year. If we win a SB i'd consider doing it.

If we trade him now we'd have too many question marks jmo

I don't know enough about cap space, but doesn't this question start coming down to, "would you rather have Graham or Jordan"?

I'd rather have Cam Jordan. I love Graham, but if he's going to demand WR money, then it doesn't make sense. He's got limitations. I know a true #1 WR would have made a huge difference and I would like to see that play out.

But to get 2 1st rounders, I think would be the best choice as an organization. Maybe not best "fan choice", but smart.

If we have enough room to sign Graham to big money and sign Jordan to big money, then forget what I said

Jordan has a team option in 2015 for about 2/3rds the cost of the franchise tag. By 2016, when we have to franchise or extend him, we can be freed of Hawthorne, Grubbs, Bunkley, and Lofton's contracts.

The Browns, should they hire Cam Cameron, would probably go after Mett, who would fall a bit because of the injury. We're looking at second or third round, and they have two third rounders. So them trading both of their first round picks isn't completely off the table, but I've gotta wonder if they'd do it. I could see them trying to shop the 4th to move down a bit, pick up an extra pick later on, and then MAYBE trading something like the 12th pick and the 26th pick, but I wouldn't bet on that happening.

It may be best to trade him though, even if you couldn't get two firsts this year, if he wants to act that way about the money, let it be someone else's problem.

Also, for all of those expecting two first round picks: it's not happening. Trying to find if any team has ever given up the pair of first round picks for a franchised player and can't find any instances of it happening.

Also, in the unlikely event that we refuse to deal Graham for less and force a team to outbid us for Graham + give up 2 first round picks, the picks would come in consecutive drafts. It also has to be a team's own pick, not one acquired via trade (so no 2x 2014 firsts from the Browns, it would be their pick at 4 and their 2015 first (no chance they would give both of those up for Graham when they already have a top ~5 TE.)

If we could get 2 number 1s for Jimmy Graham and we didn't do it we should fire Loomis/Payton on the spot. I started a thread a while back that we should trade Jimmy for a 1 and a 2.

Two number 1s, are you fvcking kidding me?!?! We could literally transform this franchise overnight. All of the sudden we have flexibility, we have youth, one more playmaker and we have a top 5 defense, one more OL and we have a power rushing attack and can address our skill player needs in FA.

It would literally be the kind of move that preserves our franchise's future.

That will not happen. I just do not see it.

Who do you see offering two first round picks for him?

On here since 09 and have never seen such a influx of new posters at this time of year.

Also I would think few here would turn down two #1's if a long term deal looks unlikely.

I'll be the first to say that I don't want to see Jimmy go. He's almost as much a face of the franchise as Brees is, imo. But if we could get two first round picks for him, it's hard to argue against that, logically.

The Saints won the Super Bowl without Graham. He is a great player whose talent is magnified by Drew Brees.

Would you rather the Saints have the chance to spend/draft multiple weapons on offense or are you content with paying 1 guy the lion's share? Think big picture here.

I kinda agree. Much as I love Graham you have to look at the future. If he's going to insist on breaking our cap(which is understandable for his talents) it might be best to just get rid of him if we can get two 1st round picks. Those guys will be cheap and you have the potential at two superstars. You can't win a SB around a couple players who break the shite out of your cap unless you get super lucky with the draft.
