After yesterday, we need help on the offensive and defensive lines. I did not see Patterson and Mariotta just gashing us all day on the ground. The defensive line was just ineffective as a whole. Payton Turner and Davenport were no shows. Jordan is a seasoned vet and may take a while to get going.

We had 0 sacks. That's crazy. Suh would be an instant upgrade to this line.

For the offensive line, Hurst did not get better as the game went on. Even during our 12 minute rally, Jameis was still getting hit regularly. The injury to Penning was such a bummer because he would be starting much sooner than most had anticipated.

Sign Eric Fisher and let Hurst go back to the quality backup that he is.

I expected Mariota to give us fits. We struggle with athletic scrambling QBs. Always have. Remember RG3s first game against us? I hate we play against Jalen Hurst because we never account for his running. Josh Allen ran for 40 last year. Mahomes ran for 40 the year before that. D. Watson ran for 40 the year before that.

QBs we do well against are pocket passers like Brady and Matt Ryan.

I hope Hurst gets better at LT, but yesterday was brutal for him. I think without the injury Penning would have played his way into the LT so Hurst could go back inside.

Overall hopefully the line gels, but they are a legit concern this season.

As for Dline, I hope it was more of a gameplan issue vs real problem. They seemed to want to contain Mariotta then sack him. I hope that was the case. Payton Turner did do one good thing by blocking that last field goal.

All in all, your right. Saints should be in win now mode and if bringing someone else in helps then get it done.

DA defenses don't really do all that well vs running QBs. We were playing contain almost the entire game and not really rushing. That won't be the case vs TB12.

We really need Adebo back. Roby struggled a bit.

Don't think turner played many snaps.

Neither did davenport.

Suh wants crazy money for his production.

I agree that i would've brought back hicks though.

Thinking/hoping same Bunch. Not that containing worked well yesterday but hope that was the plan and not just a poor effort on our part. We will see vs the pirates. Seemed like a game played without much practice and a poor game plan. Like LSU last Sunday our depth and stamina won out toward the end.

I'm with you on fisher, but I'm willing to give this DL a chance to redeem themselves. I feel like the talent is there.

We will be fine. I think the DL was trying to stay home and make reads on the run.
