Too late he has looked pretty terrible in a few starts the last 3 seasons with practice, training camp and all

Compared to his 2011 self? Sure.

His last few starts were still better than Taysom or Siemian. Shoulda been back the second Jameis went down.

I agree they were better than taysom or Trevor but in all honesty, is that our measuring stick? Forget the Jacob Blake, Forget the kneeling, Forget all the political bs. But if Taysom is our measuring stick for quarterback, hell we might as well get Bobby Herbert or John fourcade back

Realistically, right now, it literally is.

Which is a shame because Jameis was finally starting to show some of what CSP saw in him.

14:3 TD:INT. For Jameis Winston.

Payton was kinda "retraining " jameis to cut down on turnovers. While he passing yards weren't phenomenal, I think when Payton feels comfortable and turns him loose, he will be awesome

Honest question to the 8 people who downvoted me. What did I post that was not accurate? I'm not talking about political views, I'm talking about facts.

Favre's last ride gave Minnesota a nice boost. Just too bad we were in their way.

This is incorrect. Favre's last ride was the following season & he got knocked out on Monday Night Football on the final play of his career.

quote:

Favre recently told “BaD Radio” on KTKC in Dallas that he was knocked out cold on the final play of his career against the Chicago Bears.

“It was the only time in my career where I was actually completely out,” Favre said, via Sports Radio Interviews. “It was 10-15 seconds. … The guy didn’t even hit me, he pushed me. I threw the ball and the field was, of course, solid ice. It was like concrete, and he just pushed me and I slip, fall, and nothing hurt.

“Hit the left side of my head, and the next thing I remember I was snoring as our trainer’s kind of shaking, saying, ‘You OK?’ And as I got up and shook the cobwebs off, I remember looking at our trainer Suge (Eric Sugarman) and saying, ‘Suge, what are the Bears doing here?’ He’s like, ‘Ah, come over here with me, buddy.’”

Favre, who said that he was banged up and probably shouldn’t have been playing in the game to begin with, said he knew at that moment that his career was probably over.

“When I kind of started figuring it out as I was getting to the sidelines, I thought, ‘Now, if there was ever a time where the writing is on the wall, this is it,’” he explained. “It may be a little too late for the cumulative damage that you’ve done. Now it’s probably a little too late to say, ‘OK, now is when I’m going to save my body.’ Went in, took a shower, got some hot cocoa, got a hot dog and said, ‘That’s it. I’m going to watch the next two or three.’”

Payton called him personally. Brees was in Hawaii with his family, and from what I’ve been able to gather, he gave the idea some serious thought.

quote:

Ultimately, Brees nixed the idea, in part, because on such short notice, he wasn’t 100% confident he would be able to make the throws necessary to successfully lead the offense.

We weren’t willing to promise him the starter role over Taysom, Book, and Simian?

That’s not what the article says. It says that this was Brees’ caveat and that he ultimately turned it down due to believing he can’t make all the necessary throws anymore. The team said yes, but Brees said no.

He can vacation and play golf in Hawaii, while collecting checks from the saints and NBC. Plus he's getting older, it's harder to kneel lmao

Nice try Sean ...

In A Backup role ..

Brees and Rivers refused ? Well heck yea they resfused that worthless offer!

Now you got what you got when Winston bit the dust And now when C19 structure your roster..

CSP doesn’t always make good decisions
