God dammit. Who let Victor Butler in the locker room without a leash again?

He's always had the lingering foot and knee issues. He doesn't need the reps, he knows the offense

He'll be gravy if the interior is protected

I'm getting a bad feeling about it as well. Looking like one of the biggest wastes we have went after in FA

We've won the NFC South THREE TIMES in Payton's 9 years. THREE TIMES. We've had the most talent in the division at least SIX of those years (probably 7). The case could easily be made that the 2006-2015 Saints have wasted more opportunities than any NFL team in the past 50 years.

Drew Brees hasn't missed significant time in any of the seasons, Benson has opened the checkbook and spent where he was told to spend. Green Bay has won the NFC North 6 or 7 times, Peyton Manning's teams have won their division 7 times and Tom Brady's Pats have won the AFC East 8 times in the same span of years. Hell, the damn 49ers and Seahawks have EACH won the NFC West more often than we've won the NFC South.

We constantly underachieve. The only seasons that we didn't underachieve under Payton were 2006, 2009, and 2011. Every other year was a massive waste and a "what could have been". No one denies this.

Would you disagree with my statement that we had the most talent in the NFC South for at least 6 of those 9 years, yet only managed to win it 3 times?

Once again the NFC North
That's like the Patriots in the AFC East. They are not very good divisions. What is common with them is that they all have terrible (for the most part) QB play outside of Rodgers and Brady. The lions are just getting good with Stafford and the things they are doing on defense. The NFC South has Brees, Ryan, and Newton. As bad as the NFC South was last season it has easily been one of the most competitive divisions in recent memory.

Byrd looking like another high paid FA bust. Maybe they can cut him after the season and add another massive dead money cap hit.

ETA: But really, I'm not freaking out about Byrd quite yet. I will if he starts missing serious training camp time though.

Respectfully, that's absurd. Has any team other than the Giants won more than 1 Super Bowl during that time? This isn't the NBA. It's very, very difficult to win big every year. And I've always maintained that the 2012 Saints bounty season shouldn't count.

Wikipedia:

The Bills are the only team to win four consecutive conference championships, and are the only NFL team to play in four consecutive Super Bowl games, all of which they lost.

I'll let you easily make the case.

As a Braves fan, I sort of consider y'all the Braves on the NFL. The 90s and 2000s Braves that is.

We'd have to get to multiple SBs and lose them to be the Braves

Not sure if that's a plus in your argument? So you're actually worse than the braves?

Personally, I'd prefer to make it to the big dance than to have never gotten there. Everyone differs on that stance though.
