Saints passed on Doug Pederson and Eric Bieniemy for this!

No trolling here. Our front office is just stupid or just don’t care. They probably going to the horse track tomorrow. Don’t expect any firings.

They didn’t pass on them. They never considered them. It was always going to be Allen. Loomis should go as a result of this but there’s no one in the organization to fire him.

Other coaches hired the year Saints hired Allen:
Job Safe:
Doug Pederson - Jaguars
Mike McDaniel - Dolphins
Probably Safe and Back for another year:
Todd Bowles - Bucs
Seat Heating Up:
Brian Daboll - Giants
Kevin O'Connell - Vikings
Josh McDaniels - Raiders
Likely to be Fired:
Matt Eberflus - Bears
Already Fired:
Lovie Smith - Texans
Nathaniel Hackett - Broncos
Edit to say this isn't defending the Allen hire and was just pointing out the other options.
In hindsight, Saints should have gone hard after Pederson, while trying to retain Allen as Def Coord. I don't really remember Allen having an option to be head coach elsewhere.

What did I do to you?
I'm no Bieniemy fan either. But Peterson should have been it. I know hindsight is 20/20, but he's coached a Super Bowl.

Because he actually acts like a coach and some woke media thought he was being too mean?

What makes you think Pederson would’ve picked coaching Andy dalton and Jameis Winston over coaching/developing Lawrence and living in a no state income tax area?

True. This still falls on management. How many QB’s have we had since Brees?

The most telling thing for me is I find myself longing for Teddy Bridgewater.
