all 3 have different contractual situations which greatly affect the value in a trade.

That really doesn't address my comment though.

I'm saying that Vele isn't good. And, despite our systemic issues, you can tell. You can tell in the same way you can tell that Shaheed and Olave actually are quality players.

Those are words you are just desperate to type. He’s shown to have probably best hands on team.

I'm desperate? I don't think so.

I don't think he's a viable replacement for either Shaheed or Olave. I don't think it's close.

I'm not saying he's got zero value. I just think he's a marginal NFL WR.

Does that bother you?

Good hands mean squat if you not getting open. He has one catch in two games. Two games where we are way behind and passing every down. He’s not even getting garbage time yards.

The trade was another Loomis disaster. That was a win now move. No reason to make that trade.

A 4the pick for a big bodied 3-4 depth WR that should be excelling in red zone is well worth it. Systematic issues. Yes you are desperate

I didn't say anything about my opinion of that trade. You seem sensitive about that subject.

What I did say was Vele wasn't that good and isn't a viable replacement for either of our starters.

he would have 2 right now. 1 called back. He's caught everything in an endzone thrown to him. The saints have been sucking getting the endzone period. Sort of like your postsing, you only show up when things are bad and you think you have some brilliant negative thought to add to the board. you suck.

You said you were an intellectual but this may be the dumbest hill I’ve ever seen someone die on on this board

I would have crawled in a hole by now if I was knighting for a guy coming off another zero catch game

I am far from dieing on the hill and i've been very consistent with my original point. I said anyone having strong emotions right now over vele is being drama. We have a dysfunctional offense and we have 1 or 2 receivers that may not be here next year. I said from the very beginning that we should judge vele this time next year as to what sort of role he is playing for us and then judge the trade accordingly.

It is fair to ask why he's not being targeted more. but, he can't catch balls that aren't thrown to him.

His inability to get open is the problem that explains all of this

Having great hands means little if you can't get open.

Olave, Shaheed, Juwan are all on pace for career high numbers. Vele is on a full season pace of 10 catches for 83 yards

This is beyond being a dysfunctional offense. He was brought in to alleviate the issues you speak of. He was billed as ready to contribute. Three years on a rookie deal, 41/475/3 in 13 games last year.

We are not asking for Marques Colston here. Even if you believe he sucks bc of our offense, he should still be able to at least luck into a a few catches. Perhaps a first down conversion, maybe even a real TD

our qb doesn't even have time to scratch his nuts.

vele is a good blocking wr

we can't even get sustained drives for 2 quarters of every game.

blame vele so we can look so smart about hating a trade to add something missing on our roster of pussy wide receivers.

Then why are other receivers on our team producing?

It's not like we have Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson and they are performing relatively well.

He's contributing literally nothing in comparison
