Look at the difference it makes on a team like Atlanta and New England.

The talent is their at CB, they are just as good as the Falcons and Norman did not help the Redskins much at all.

DL is adequate but you have to bring back Fairley and you get a full year out of Rankins.

Thought Stephone Anthony might have been the guy...not sure how he fell off so quickly.

They did him no favors switching positions.

To be fair, he's right, even though it's been stated many times by several people on here.

It's the main reason why I think the Saints might add a DE in FA AND the draft, but not until the second round.

I think the Saints do everything they can go get either Foster or Cunningham.

If we want to compete for a SB while we have Brees, we can't rely on a rookie to come in at LB and be an immediate stud.

To me, you go get someone like Donte Hightower in FA. Let him call the D.
Then draft pass rushers.

You can't even get his name right, yet you want him in the Black and Gold....

But that's besides the point. It's far more likely for a LB to come in and make an immediate impact than an edge rusher in year 1.

Rusher usually don't make their presence felt until year 2 like Vic Beasely. Look at what Deion Jones did for Atlanta this year.

Give me the GM job, I'll have a dynasty of at least 3 Super Bowls within the next 5-6 years.

still cannot read the plays and make the right decision. its amazing how this wasn't picked up earlier on his film or scouting. If its so obvious to them now after drafting him, why the frick wasn't that caught before.

Probably arrogance

He switched positions in college, and probably thought they could coach him up

They forgot Vitt is washed up

Without Vilma, we don't get to the Super Bowl, much less win.

He was a damn good LB.

From Wikipedia:

2009: Super Bowl year[edit]
On February 27, 2009, Vilma signed a five-year, 34 million-dollar contract with the Saints.[6] Vilma was elected one of the defensive captains, led the team in tackles, had three interceptions, and was chosen for his second Pro Bowl.

In Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, 2010, Vilma made several important plays, including making a key defensive audible and deflecting a pass on 3rd and 11 in the fourth quarter. The Saints beat Indianapolis 31-17.

People say this, but he almost won DROY. And called the defense his rookie year.

If foster is there you run to the podium in 4.4 secs and don't look back and trade up for a d end/ pass rusher in 2nd round

Our problem has been backs have absolutely owned us from dump offs in the flats and tight ends up the middle! Draft a speed head hunter at LB and a de/ pass rusher and you will see major improvements on D!
