Man getting old sucks...born and raised in New Orleans! Growing up my room was covered with Saints wall to wall. Season ticket holder for 10+ years. I sold my tickets this year and realized now I'm just a casual fan that may watch a game on Sundays. Still gonna pull for the black and gold but think all the politics in the NFL zapped my interest. Anybody else went through this?

Yea dude, It's called life. There is a drop off in interest when your focus turns to family, work, and the Lord. It becomes what it should be; a whimsical escape from more important things to life.

Congrats on you man card!

It's a shameless you let Collin Kapernick ruin something you enjoyed. Don't be so sensitive and enjoy the game on the field.

Don't get me wrong I watch when I can but it's not a priority. I hope they go 16-0 this year but latching on to the games for 17 weeks has fallen down a level or two. Hey but to each is own! Hope every Saints fan keeps the fire alive in them.

I can agree with you on some of that but other things take precedent as well like family. One thing that is driving me away is the 30 commercial breaks every game. Another thing I don't like the off the field behavior of some of the athletes. Whether they wanted it or not they are role models for young kids, there are some that need to step up as should the organizations that they represent. I really think that professional athletes could help all lot of young boys and girls achieve more in their lives by being an active part of the community they represent.

I watch every Saints game but if I'm being honest I almost never watch an NFL game that they don't play in. I usually start watching playoff games but turn them off pretty quick. I love college football and have season tix to the Tigers and find myself watching college football games a lot but not the NFL.

It's pretty rare that I watch a game from opening kickoff to completion. It'll be even more rare when the 3rd one arrives at New Years.

I sort of get what you're saying. Before having kids, I was 24/7 Saints. I used to go to all home games and 1 or 2 road games a year. Now, with a 5 year old, a 2 year old, and one on the way, it's more difficult. I usually take the kids to one preseason game and I'll make 3-4 home games a year. Been to one road game in the last 5 years. But I'm still die hard on Sundays whether I'm there or at home watching. I don't miss a play. And my 5 year old is slowly becoming that way. Which is awesome.

Was it really the "politics in the NFL" that zapped your interest?

I used to live and die with every play during a Saints game during the Jim Mora era when I was a teenager. I got burnt out and tired of getting upset so I backed off on the Saints a little. Now if I could do the same with LSU I would be alright.

I bet you will feel differently if they start season 8-0.... Consecutive losing seasons drains excitement faster than a broken leg.

Look in the mirror bro.. wearing another man's name on your back and idolizing him could be a sign about your own thought process
