negative
we needed to beat Dallas on Thursday for it to be possible
we have to beat Tampa next week (or have CAR lose again)

I guess Fox was wrong?
Saints divisional record - 2-1
Panthers divisional record - 1-2
So Fox was wrong.
Saints divisional record - 2-1
Panthers divisional record - 1-2
So Fox was wrong.

Goes by overall record not division record

Saints go 0-4
Panthers go 4-0
Both would be 10-6 and the Panthers would have swept the Saints.
No title.

If Carolina wins out and we lose out, both teams are 10-6 and they have a head to head sweep. Our magic number is 1.

NFL is wrong.
Saints lose out, Carolina wins out, both are 10-6 with Panthers holding tiebreaker.

If somehow the Saints would fall and lose out they would miss the playoffs with a 10-6 record because they gotta win a game to make it.

That’s assuming every other team in playoff contention wins out

The breaking news you saw on Fox was the Rams beating the Lions and clinching the NFC West.

No I saw it too. Fox made a mistake

NFC South went from the best division to one of the shittiest

We don't. If we lose out and Carolina wins out they'd get it. Any 1 win does though.

The plan is to punish the Bucks next week to take the division.

The Panthers are at Cleveland next week
Baker may finish off the Cam-thers and give us the title before we complete force feeding Jameis this L we're going to give him next week

In division it goes by:
Overall
Head to head
Division
Common games
Conference
SoV
SoS
Then a bunch of points stuff
And so people know where we may stand with the Rams, out of division goes:
Overall
Head to head
Conference
Common
SoV
SoS
Bunch of point stuff
So the only thing that matters with getting the 1 seed is finishing with the same record as the Rams.

And as far as division, Saints only need to win 1 game to guarantee division title. Only chance Saints don't win division is if Saints lose out and Panthers win out.
ETA: sorry didn't see this from Bestbank:
