Only if they get Patrick Peterson.

I wouldn't be disappointed if they did that to get DE Aldon Smith or Cameron Jordan.

Smith and Jordan are both solid. I wouldn't mind having them. The depth at this position this year is impressive. IMO staying at #24 and taking Kerrigan or Houston could pay off just as well.

The depth on the DL is amazing this year, I agree.

Saints fans should be wishing hard for a run on OTs, CBs, and as many QBs as possible before #24. I'd say 6 of those total at minimum. The high end of 10+ would really push a quality D player down.

Wouldn't count on it since good DE's are always at a premium. Here's to wishful thinking of getting Smith or Kerrigan (still hoping we trade up).

Dareus would put the Saints over the top, imo.

Only guy the Saints could justify jumping up that high for. . .

---Question 1: Is there any player you would want if he was available at #9 or 10 and the Saints could nab him for their top 3 picks?

Not for top 10 salary, no way, IMO.

the dynamics of high draft picks could shift dramatically with a new rookie wage scale. I've read estimates that is could be half or lower than what it has elevated to now. On the top end (#10-15) it escalated so stratospherically that it did become difficult to find any team interested in moving up. That scale slashed dramatically could make for a lot more trade activity at the top end.

The combination of needing a QB (prolly none of this year's rookies warrant a #1) and having no 2nd Rd pick makes Carolina a perfect team to move back.
