Three teams in nfc history have gone 13-3 and not gotten a first round bye. Two of them are the sean Payton and Brees era saints. Both seasons one of the byes went to the Packers.

Saints are now the first team in history to get the Two seed and no bye. The packers got the only bye.

frick Aaron Rodgers and State Farm and that abortion of a city

I’d rather be the 2nd and avoid TB

Bills wrapped up their 2 seed first. So we are the 2nd team.

Pussy. Saints match up perfectly against TB.

It could get ugly with Chicago's D if Saints have a Saturday game without Kamara. Their offense sucks to hell but I think it would be low scoring.

LoL. Do you remember last year? All anyone on this board could talk about was the divisional round. I think 1 in 10 threads actually talked about the Vikings game. It is the height of hubris to assume we’re going to beat the bears.

Losing to the first ever seven seed? A team that in any year previous would not have made the playoffs? If that doesn’t scream saints then you haven’t watched the past ten years. Worrying about who we play in the divisional round is counting about a billion chickens before they hatch

IDK Lattimore is good when he's motivated but yeah, he's inconsistent.

Reading comprehension my man. Two previous Payton era saints teams, 2011 and 2019, went 13-3 and did not get a bye. That’s only happened one other time in nfl history.

On top of that we are now the first NFC* team to get a two seed and no bye. The point is that objectively the Payton era saints have the worst seeding luck as it relates to byes in the history of the nfl

Man, I've heard of Debbie Downers before, but you are really working at it.

One seed, two seed, heel 6 seed doesn’t matter. Goodell WILL
NOT allow Payton and the Saints win another super bowl on his watch.

I have a gut feeling the Packers will lose in an upset in the Divisional rd (like they did in 2011).

My only real concern is the toll of 3 games to get to the SB. It's unlikely the Saints starters come out relatively unscathed, despite having capable depth.

That and whatever creative mischief Goodell and/or COVID can muster to thwart the Saints.

Chicago's D matches up well against the Saints. New season starts now I wouldn't underestimate any shitty playoff opponent right now. skEli Manning found a way to win a SB with an average NYG team that got hot at the right moment.

The Oline has lost us multiple years. Peat got absolutely destroyed in 1.

No but it’s an absurd premise that you would take the 2 seed and avoid a first round bye just for a possible better matchup in the divisional round

I would rather avoid the Bucs in the playoffs and play Chicago and Seattle. That’s not absurd.

We put 400 yards of offense on the bears in Chicago without Thomas, Sanders or Callaway
