Anyone going to be at the game August 9 in Jax? Misses and I end seats right behind the Saints Bench. Just curious. We don't make road trips so take what we can get. looking forward to it.

We were there for that one. Like any city and stadium where you are the opponent fan, we got beer dumped all over us and stuff thrown at us but I suppose it is what it is. You go and enjoy the best you can. I feel like for me this is the last time I will have a chance to see Brees period so I am there.

Never seen that happen in the dome. People get treated respect unless they show they don’t deserve to be respected. At least that’s in my section.

Wife and I will both be there. Live right across the river from Jags stadium. It's actually a great in game experience, especially with the success last year. We'll be in Saints gear of course! Can't wait

I'll be there in the press box, silently rooting for the Saints because we're not supposed to be rooting/cheering while we work.

What do you do to get this to happen to you? I've been to a few and never had that happen (Texans, Wash, ATL *5)

Well, I guess I shouldn't say like every city as we don't and have never frequented large sporting events on a regular basis. Not that it does, or should, matter but I am a disabled vet with a cane that has had both hips replaced before the age of 45. I don;t go anywhere to start crap with anyone and if anything I go out of my way to be more considerate to others there and inconvenience myself and family.

That being said at the 2011 game we tailgated with some neighbors and then headed to our seats. There happened to be several Saints fans around where we were sitting and 3 rows down and about 6 seats down there was Jags and a couple Saints fans jawing all game. The Jags fans (2) couple finally were getting escorted out and when they walked behind the railing where several of us were sitting they just dumped their almost full cups of beer all over everyone there.

After that when leaving stadium people were cussing at anyone with Saints attire on, telling all to go back to the cesspool of a city we came from, Katrina didn't do enough damage as we were all still here, etc... I was like WOW...ok....maybe this is normal, I have no idea.

So we did nothing except show up in Saints attire, cheered for the Saints, booed when there were bad calls. It's all good. It is what it is I suppose. Hope for better experience this time.

There are a-hole fans for every team.

Damn that's a pretty shity expereince. As Goon said, there are a-hole fans for every team. I have seen some pretty ridiculous situations at the Dome, but nothing that ever made it to that level.

WIth that said, I can never fathom how this is an appropriate response

That's a waste of halfway decent alcohol, plus the prices for beer is ridiculous.

Somebody pours beer on me and there will be a fight.

Nothing wrong with a little jawing, but that is a flat out a-hole move. I would not do that to someone else.
