Would ya'll be alright if the saints did something similar on draft day to what happened with Ditka and Ricky Williams?

So you want a team that has found guys like Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, Joique Bell, and countless others to trade up to select a RB who won't even be our starter on a team that has fielded a bottom 5 defense the last 3 or 4 years?

The Saints did get Darren Howard the next year in Round 2 though.
He ended up being a good player for the Saints for a few years.
so messed up to think about but remember when we traded Ricky to Miami and got an extra 1st rounder for it?? One of those picks was Stallworth (who got traded when Payton arrived in 2006). The other 1st rounder was Charles Grant.. a good player but then stunk it up after his big pay day.
then of course Ricky goes to the Dolphins and has some elite season in 2002.. oh well.
The Saints ended up beating Tampa Bay (the World Champion) twice that same year.
Funny how shite works out.
