I don’t think it’s an overreaction. I know there were numerous reports of how impressed the 9ers were of Purdy his first training camp.

It’s been the opposite for Shough. It’s being reported that they are disappointed that’s he’s not further along for his age and experience.

Lots of posters, myself included didn’t like the pick so it magnifies the situation. We will get to see how he performs in the games. Still hard to get a good handle on QBs in preseason b/c defenses are so vanilla.

What part of my statement is false? It’s being reported everywhere what I just said. I hope I’m wrong and Shough plays lights out.

I’m not desperate to be right about this. I’m more pissed we didn’t pick players I thought were better in the 2nd round instead of reaching.

I’m hoping that at some point in the game, Shough has a pass where a defender makes an incredible play for a pick 6 just to watch the fireworks on this board and acts like no other QB has ever done that in a preseason game

I thought Rattler should be given the shot to start this year. Last year was a clusterfrick. Or at least put him against a vet.

And the reports are coming from beat reporters after the practices on the radio. I’m not watching the practices, just saying what’s been reported.

Can’t remember the guy but he thought 100% Shough would be the day one starter after the draft, and he’s said after what he’s seen and heard, he said it’s Rattlers job and he will keep it the first couple months of the season for sure unless an injury happens.
