I hope Ingram gets laid tonight.
Lutz as well. He was money in the bank today. Scored 14 points all by his lonesome.
Lutz hopefully was presented the game ball.

[quote]In 2009, the Saints had a miracle comeback and beat the Redskins in OT with a field goal. Then went on to win the Super Bowl. [/quote/]
Yup, remember it well. Super Bowl season. Moved to Georgia earlier that year. Had lunch at a restaurant that had individual flat screens at booths. They had NFL Season Ticket and even though they had the Falcons game on pretty much all of their screens they were gracious enough to tune ours to the Saints game. Because of OT, had that booth from afternoon to early evening. Watched the lunch crowd leave and the dinner crowd come in!!

I had to change it up. Had to get off the couch and phone and walk around the room a bit.

Didn't sit back down until the game was over. Woke my wife up from her nap with all the ups and downs. Keep picking my baby girl up and jumping up and down, and then got super down again when the Skins reached FG range.

Man that was a fricking ride. I was on the verge but kept remembering the Doplhins' and Skins' games from 09.

Kept thinking how an OT win against this team would be super symbolic just like we had against them in 09.

It wasn't exactly the same but still super similar. Missed FG vs. penalty to pull them out of FG range. Brees leading us down to tie the game. Getting the stop in OT and then hitting the game winning FG.

This was as much a signature game this year as the Buf game last week (which was reminiscent of the Pats game in 09).

It's just such a slightly twisted reflection of 09. So many similarities yet a few key differences.

I'm noticing some 'thumbs down' votes on favorable Saint's posts. Either a Washington fan or a Saints 'hater' troll. Whatever.
Probably a hillary voter ????

Did Drew claim this team as a team of destiny yet this season in the postgame?

Believe that was in the postgame speech after Redskins game in 2009

I'll give you a pass, you must be drunk.

I never had a doubt. I've been bustin balls on those who checked out. Fun.

And btw don't leave the stadium or you are getting busted.

What a contrast. I was in an airport in Costa Rica for the first part of the game. We couldn't run the ball, we didn't try to run the ball, Drew couldn't pass except for a check down, the defense couldn't stop anything. I got into Houston and checked in and now everything is rainbows and unicorns. I'll take an ugly win. It's the mark of a great team to pull a W out of your arse when you're not playing well.

Yup down by 15 with 3 minutes left. We have them right where we want them!!

Saints must have forgotten that next week is the 3 pm kickoff, not this week!

Pretty enjoyable re-reading some of this thread when Saints were down 31-16.

Best one from CrowPie with Saints trailing by 15 - "I believe"
