Realistically, who can challenge us in the NFC if our defense keeps this up?

Philadelphia?
Minnesota? Albeit no more Bradford or Cook and Diggs is banged up.
Seattle? They don't scare anyone anymore
LA Rams perhaps? I don't trust Goff against our defense
With Rodgers going down, I really like our chances of at least making the playoffs now.

We are all thinking it, somebody had to say it

the Saints play in what might be the toughest division in the league.
I know we backhanded Carolina but until I see it with my own eyes against ATL and the Bucs i'll be a skeptic.
Still a lot of ball left to be played. I felt like we could be a 10-6 team at the beginning of the year and that's what I'm sticking with.

You could very well be correct. Their offense hasn't been nearly as potent so far.. like last year.

Eagles and Carolina both still look good.
Minnesota's defense will keep them in alot of games.

Honestly if the Saints are playing this well on D the only NFC teams capable of giving us fits would be ATL and GB if they can get Rodgers back and scrap into a playoff spot.
Those are the only teams IMO in the NFC that can still flip a switch and play at an elite level.

We need to pump the breaks. We are one game over five hundred for the first time in a LONG time. Let's win a few more games before we start proclaiming NFC dominance.

Yeah, some of you might be getting a little too excited. One game at a time.

Eagles pass rush will give us absolute fits if anyone on our line is hurt. Will likely still hold us in check even fully healthy. They're very good. Their defense is on another level from ours.

Yep. But IF* they keep this up it’s certainly Brees > Wentz
I want them to get a couple more wins before I’m saying we are the team to beat. The Saints team I’ve seen for 3 weeks straigh, though, can beat anyone.

I thought the premise of the thread was "if"

And Carolina's defense hasn't been nearly as good.
The effect on those teams losing their top, very good coordinators was going to be noticeable. It's been no surprise to me those teams aren't looking the same on their respective side of the ball.
What is surprising me a bit is Cam returning to his SB year form. It's the only thing saving them right now but he has shown the other side of his play in a few games.

How about let's just win today

As for the question at hand, any team with a very good defense could give us fits. We still aren't quite there on offense and the Minny game showed what a top 10 D can do to us.
But I'd be curious to see how that game would go now that we've changed some things up on defense and have Armstead back.

Historically and in a vacuum yeah Brees is better than Wentz but I think Wentz is proving to be plenty good enough. I'd still give the edge to that pass rush and Wentz over our defense and Brees at the moment. Especially if outdoors and cold.

I have never understood this, there is literally nothing we can say or do to affect the outcome of these games.

I guess we should be studying game film instead of being excited about our team looking legit this year

their change in OC seems to have had a negative impact on them so far
