Because Atlanta is terrible?

Now I really wanna bet the farm vs Atlanta as an underdog.

Can we continue to call Broderick Bunkley "Brod Bunk?" I like that for some reason

How I would rank the Saints:
Offense:
QB - Drew Brees (Elite)
HB - Mark Ingram (Average)
HB2 - Pierre Thomas (Good Starter)
TE - Jimmy Graham (Elite)
WR1 - Colston (High Quality)
WR2 - Brandin Cooks (Rookie)
WR3 - Kenny Stills (Good Starter)
LT - Armstead (NEI)
LG - Grubbs (High Quality)
C - Tim Lelito (NEI)
RG - Jahri (Elite)
RT - Strief (Good Starter)
Defense:
LE - Akiem Hicks (Good Starter)
NT - Brod Brunk (Average)
RE - Cam Jordan (High Quality)
LOLB - JR Galette (High Quality)
LILB - David Hawthorne (Average)
RILB - Curtis Lofton (Good Starter)
ROLB - Victor Butler (Average)
LCB - Champ Bailey (Good Starter)
RCB - Keenan Lewis (High Quality)
3S - Raphael Bush (Good Starter) We've played a lot of 3 safety packages.
SS - Kenny Vaccaro (High Quality)
FS - Jarius Byrd (Elite)

Very bias there, but I like where your heads at.

I strongly agree with their linebacker assessments. Only point of contention I have is that they have Victor Butler and Junior in there at the same time. In reality they will probably only be used in tandem in an obvious running situation or in a OLB blitz, and/or JG being played as a down lineman. But on paper, they are essentially duplicate roles with VB being better at playing the run (possibly). Having all 4 of those guys out there at the same time could be a liability, but hey, that's just my opinion based on what I've seen; Junior could drink some jungle juice and turn into Navorro Bowman overnight.
We just don't have any LBs that are proven in coverage.

Where's that thread?

I don't think Lofton is below average.
just average.
Hawthorne seemed like he started the last season off okay. But as the year went on... meh.
the Jets and Rams games were the low points I guess. I mean nothing special at all at QB for either team yet they continued to gut us with their run games.
but in the playoffs, I was surprised how well they seemed to play against the Eagles. I figured that was going to be real soft spot and McCoy was going to gash us but it didn't happen.

Yea, I was about to breakdown why I felt that way but then got sidetracked with work. I was able to view the whole insiders article and breakdown of all 32 teams but I can't anymore. The reason I said that was what I consider flawed logic. That's because of the weight of rookie's. For example, Eddie Lacy would have been a purple color and somehow "brought his team down" but we saw him be a massive contributor to last years team. I can't see what he's ranked on this years squad but I'd say well above average?
Then take the Falcons, half of the guys they put on that list was garbage. This is an example of a team that WAS a 4-3 base defense swapping over to a 3-4 and is going to utilize guys that the list didn't even include.
Just a few. But it's one mans opinion. I hope we prove him completely wrong and I think we will.

I dont think purple or grey bring the teams down. They just don't have an analysis on them yet.
Posted on 6/5/14 at 3:02 pm to 4thandinches
Well, better than bringing them down, true. Still doesn't give proper weight to solid contributors (ex. Eddie Lacy) or even the weight to starting shitty players.
Posted on 6/5/14 at 3:19 pm to DoubleDown
True, but what would you rate Eddie last year? good starter? He definitely wasn't high quality or elite.
There's not much of a swing in rankings

You two only have 50 or so more atl players to go

Not anymore. I could be persuaded to put him in High Quality without much argument.

I'd have us above Denver.
