this is the more important part WE DO NOT NEED AN OFFENSIVE TACKLE!!!!

If Moore likes Love and drafts him at 8, I’m fine with that.

But more importantly, WE NEED TO FIX THE OFFENSIVE LINE! If means drafting Love at 8 and getting a top OG in the 2nd, so be it.

But Fuaga was not great at RT last year and if Fano is an upgrade at RT, and Fuaga is an upgrade at G and you can get a guy like Singleton or Price in the 2nd/3rd, that’s just as viable a plan as getting Love and an OG. Acting like the OL doesn’t need to be fixed and getting a top OT doesn’t do a lot towards that goal is dense.

I would have no issue with Love, Bell, then Rutledge with our first three picks.

You have a terrible memory and no credibility
. Why repeat something that isn’t accurate? I liked all the players selected, I wanted them to address the pass rush, which they eventually did with Hendrickson, who they ended up wasting. T

You posted that like I'm suppose to be impressed and I'm not.

Jeremiah Love is an average sized running back with good, not elite, speed and has struggled against good defenses.

I mean look at what you just posted

Dude went absolutely nuts on Syracuse, Boston College, Purdue, USC and Pitt.

When he faced talented and discliplined defenses he struggled like Miami, A&M, Navy and Arkansas.

You brag about how he had to split time with Price but you can get price on day 2.

I don't see whatever it is that makes you think he's a first rounder, much less a top 10 overall pick.

How many first round running backs do the Patriots and Seahawks have? What about the Rams and Broncos?

Taking a running back top 10 is retarded.

Taking this running back top 10 is the kind of shite raiders and browns do.

Credibility lol

You're posting under an anonymous username on a regional football board you fricking loser.

I'm not wasting a second on you with all your bullshite post you've had in the past, it's not worth it.

Hey good call on spending all that time last year ont he recruiting board only to rank Harlem Berry like 7th best RB in the state. Nice cRedIbIlitY. I'm sure he won't be nearly as good as he thinks he is, like Odell though right?

I agree we need to fix the oline but man, this idea of jjsy constantly moving people around to play positions they’ve never played before has to end. Fuaga was hurt last year and was slowed by an ankle injury. I’m not worried about him. What i am worried about is both guard positions, our wide receivers, tight end, and up mainly one of the biggest needs we have upcoming especially if Cam isn’t back is a pass rusher. And that is a premier position in the nfl unlike rb. They have to get one soon. If they pass on Bailey, Bain, or even Faulk for Love this could be a decision we regret for a long time. If you ask most Atlanta fans who’d they rather have, Bijan or Jalen Carter they will all tell you Carter.

Saints should bring in younger talent. They should released older vets for cap space. They should sign a top tier LG and LB. I would be very happy with Love at 8th pick.

Love kinda reminds me of a smaller Eddie George.

This is the draft to pick a rb early.

Its a deep draft at the edge, saints will be able to get solid defensive help in later rounds, and you can go heavy oline afterwards.

been proven to be historically bad value taking running backs in the top ten. But ok.

We won a superbowl the last time we drafted a rb in the top 10

Fortner FA a good backup to sign
Landon Young FA can't stay healthy but can play tackle.
Dillon Radunz FA can go
Will Clapp FA 8th year often injured don't know what he has left

Eyes on:
Asim Richards T can he elevate or is he a career backup
Easton Kilty T same
Barry Wesley T same but a huge dude at 6'7" 310
Nick Saldiveri T thin ice
Xavier Truss T/G another big guy 6'7" 320 who's played a lot in college
Toricelli Simpkins G Looks like a keeper
Will Sherman G thin ice
Ruiz bench or someone does us a solid
Fuaga T Starter
Banks T Starter
McCoy C Starter

Can we get a proper bench from any of these guys?
Who has a shot to advance to starter? Maybe Richards or Kilty at T maybe Simpkins at G?

I'm hoping the biggest splash we make is a two guard FA deal. If there is a position I don't mind getting in a bidding war its this one. At least one stud to start at LG and a older budget friendlier vet who can push for a start at RG.

Maybe it's recency bias but I liked both the Indiana backs, Hemby and Black. They both ran hard in the playoffs, and burst through holes with decisiveness. I know they were running behind a good OL, but they were hard to get down and dragging defenders.

If we pass on Love at 8 I wouldn't mind scooping up one of them in the later rounds.

Yeah I wouldn't mind that myself.

I guess the question would be exactly what type of back they're looking for that fits the system that they run?

You can and probably should get a guard in free agency and also draft one in later rounds. Needing a guard is not an excuse to not draft love.

Id rather personally spend the money and go after someone like Breece Hall instead of a RB in the first but if you think Love can be a guy that takes the pressure off Shough you do it.

You can easily take a rb in the 2nd or 3rd. I'm not taking a rb in the top 10 unless it's a guy like Gibbs or bijan robinson.

No one thinks you should take a 2nd or 3rd type RB in the first. 99% of talk, experts and mocks has only one RB taken in the first round
And there all the same guy.

A lot of yall are acting like sheep and are terrified to think outside the box, or are stuck parroting the same boring arse rhetoric of “RB high bad”.

Yes, It’s stupid to draft a running back first/early on in the rebuild when you are starting bare bones. The raiders had a shite oline and a shite QB. The falcons did not have a QB. The giants picked Saquon with a shite roster and no real QB.

It is NOT stupid when you are already fairly invested in the OL with two blue chip young tackles, a top 5 center when healthy, you have your Franchise QB, and you have an All-Pro WR, along with a top 15 TE.

This team is aiming to win the division next year, the great draft class last year accelerated the rebuild process, when you hit on a potential Franchise QB and two future pro bowl tackles in the span of two drafts, you aren’t rebuilding anymore. You are trying to win while those premium $$$ position players are cheap. What better value to add to that than an elite rb on a rookie contract. Gives you a nice 4-5 year window before the books get crazy again.

I saw Joel Thomas chatting up with Black several times during the Senior Bowl.

Bleacher report said his comp is Kyle Monangai

I’ve seen him as having grades between rounds 5th and an UDFA. Biggest knocks on him are his lack of speed and running routes out of the backfield.

I think we need a fast guy like Singleton, Price or Moss. Neal and Estime are the same kind of back as Black.
