If Sean Payton wanted to go for it why not just run it like a regular offensive play?

Don’t think he thought we would lose that game.

It looked great except that Lutz is a sloth

What? If there wasn't a blatantly missed block, Lutz would've not only easily picked up the first down, but could've had a huge gain.

Design, phenomenal
Blocking, putrid

To be fair, it would have worked if it wasn't for a fast fricking LBer too.

McDaniel showed why he's on DL... not OL

Kwon Alexander knows that play from his LSU days

but seriously... McDaniel just get in his way for like 0.1 seconds and Lutz picks up the 1st down and gets OOB without getting clocked

The play call was very confusing to me. You’re going to playoffs so why would you risk injury to your kicker

The problem was you have huge slow arse Tony Mcdaniel trying to block Kwon Alexander

Lutz got every inch out of that run that he could have.

Maybe he was trying to test lutz toughness. I’m shocked lutz didn’t have to go into the tent. Or even knew his name.

I am still wondering how that kicker was not in the concussion program...I have seen way less contact lead to someone being pulled out of the game and sitting out the next two games....

when i saw the play i said "time to see if they have a back up kicker"

Glad we did. Saints have a chip on their shoulder and got the favorable seeding. Need the Rams to do their job and we are in good shape.

Everyone on this board needs to go watch the replay of the Fake FG again. Tony McDaniel (#76) wiffed on his block. Lutz isn't a 4.5 runner, but he would have easily gotten the first if McDaniel even slows down the defender.

Yup. It was a good call and #76 blew it.
