Question on playoff tickets

What happens to unsold tickets on Stubhub,Ticketmaster etc as you near kickoff.say 30 minutes prior. Do they go unsold? Do they make it back to the street? Does it even happen?

I'm sure the person listing the tickets just cancels the listing before kickoff and either goes to the game, sells them on the street, or gives them away.

I guarantee you the owner of those tickets does something with them, seats won’t be empty. Most will go to the game if they can’t get their money they want for them. Guy next to me has two for sell every game and didn’t sell them half the time on resell websites, yet people were still sitting in those seats.

for playoff games, they give unsold tickets away at will call. not sure how they handle regular season though

Do you mean preseason? Or they really do this for playoffs too?

not every season ticket holder buys playoff tickets...once the deadline for season ticket holders to purchase their playoff tickets passes, they put them on the open market and do whatever LE said with the leftovers

If you are only getting 2 tickets wait til right before the game. If it’s 3 or more it gets tougher.

WRONG....ANY playoff tickets not purchased by season ticket holders are offered to existing seat holders on a priority basis {how long,how many etc.} this year they limited the request to 4 additional seats and sold out in no time !
