OK I'll bite show my quote where this is a ironic statement by me. Not some other jerk leg but a actual quote by me concerning a declared starting QB in the NFL.

Apples to apples if you are mentally capable.

ahh... so you're inserting a "declared quarterback" criteria that helps you eliminate the hypocrisy of your statement now.

Well I didn't insert it. CSP declared him the starting QB for the season and the OP was asking today what should the Saints do with him at the end of the season.

As I said..."if mentally capable".

Your statement was that 4 games is not a sufficient time period to evaluate a QB in a system. stubborn goat is stubborn.

If we're talking strictly draft then Desmond Ridder might be a guy Payton could work with

Love Ridder. Guy makes a ton of pro throws and is a creator with his feet. He is the sole reason Cincinnati is ranked top 5. Luke Fickell gets all the credit but Ridder is that dude.

Or is anyone sold on Jameis as the long term solution and offering him the regular going freight in years and money that other starting QBs make?

I am sold on his potential but I don't know if what I see now is him being held back by the play calling or him being so worried about mistakes that he is being too timid. SO I am neither sold on his potential nor ready to write him off just yet. Honestly don't know what to think.

How would people feel now if Payton had left him in to throw the deep ball that Hill had intercepted and the result had been another beauty dropped in the bucket like the first?

Because Harris had a step and looked to be creating more separation but had to slow down for Hill's pass.

Winston is the least of this teams problems so far this year. Payton needs to find his fire and start calling plays to stretch the field and get people open. Running Kamara up the middle 25 times a game and throwing a few out routes to Harris isn’t much of an offense.

Do not want Carr. He can’t get the ball where he wants it. Been around a while, shows flashes, and then eventually shows us all the lemon Carr.

Honest question but what do you guys think of Ian Book? I was kind of impressed with what I saw from him during his short playtime preseason. Do we sit through JW this season while we let Book develop and possibly take over next year?

If he doesnt trust jameis to run a complete offense i cant imagine that going well either. You would run into the same bullshite conservative offense. At best it would be a Wash
