5Purdy was basically a 150 passer rating qb throughout college. That's nothing spectacular, but here he is playing well in the nfl.
Until we find a real qb, maybe we should take one every draft at some point.

on 1/22/23 at 8:06 pm to JS87If I was coach Allen , I would pay attention to the QBs in the upcoming XFL and USFL games this off season in addition to drafting a QB.

Dont forget about the CFL. Nathan Rourke had a great season in BC then signed with the jags for the playoffs so he'll be a free agent. Can't be worse that Dalton

Kyle Shannahan is one of the best, if not the best, offensive playcallers in the NFL. He made Matt Schaub a pro bowler when he was OC in Houston, made RGIII ROY, made Matt Ryan an MVP, took Jimmy G almost to the Super Bowl and has a team QBed by Trey Lance, Jimmy G & Brock Purdy one game away from the Super Bowl.
I think it’s more than just a roll of the dice. And I like Purdy, but he wouldn’t be this successful on a team like Washington or Indianapolis or Houston.

on 1/23/23 at 7:46 am to msstate7They are but.... looking back, it is ashame the Saints didn't offer a Mike Ditka type trade for Burrow in 2020. He is a once in a decade or two QB.
