Same thing I'm thinking. The playcalling has been pretty strictly managed today. Jameis looks comfortable, to the point I thought Payton could ask more of him but yeah 13 passes and 75 yards going into the 4th quarter is game manager shite.
We'll see how things look when he's asked to carry the offense a little bit. Based on today, I feel fairly comfortable with him.

Also would not have been able to run the ball play after play due to the defense not being as worried about passing game

He’s had a great game, but to act like he is an upgrade from Drew is laughable based on a 85 yard passing game.

Do you understand why? If you do then you also understand that 85 yds up 3 td's against the pre-season Super Bowl faves out of the NFC is absolutely perfect! He'll have games where he will air it out. Today isn't that day. Also, the 4 runs for 4 first downs was something Drew MOST DEFINITELY do!!

He still hasn't surpassed 100 yards of passing and is throwing for just over 7 yards per completion.
He's managing the game incredibly well. Credit to him. He's done nothing to Jeopardize this game. but holy shite.

This just isn’t a performance where you say he was an upgrade over a hall of fame quarterback.
Is he an upgrade over an injured Brees? Maybe.
Uninjured Brees could easily win a game like this where the defensive is dominating and run game is clicking.
Wait until we see Winston have to put the team on his back before we crown him atleast
