mean his pro comparison is Marcus Davenport. I don’t know if thats a good or bad thing. Honestly I remember people shitting(experts) on the 2017

Who made that comparison?

They don't play similarly to me at all.

John Sigler from the Saints wire but I believe there were others as well including bleacher report. Compared him to his ability on the field not necessarily the medical issues.

He had 9 sacks in 2021 in only 11 games. Sacks are highly variable.

He only played 43% of the snaps. And still had 8 qb hits as well (looking for pressure numbers).

We agree to disagree. You can’t get a full sack as a starting DE you have productivity issues. There’s just no way of defending that. You can point to all the pressures or qb hits you want but those aren’t always positive plays on defense. Depending on the QB some if those plays may end up in first downs. At the end of the day a sack is the only thing that signifies for certainity that a QB lost yardage. And again he couldnt get a full sack.

This also COMPLETELY ignored how great of a run defender he is....

Yea hes a solid run defender but again man you can’t be a starting DE in the NFL with 0.5 sack. I mean that’s ridiculous. No amount of even great run defending can defend that especially in a league that is pass happy.

Lol im not 12 although im sure you prefer them young. The fact that this board gets riled up over any take thats opposite of theirs to this degree is just amusing to me. Like your just posting about me without me even responding to any of your recent posts. I must really bother the shite out of you for you to do that lol You guys are hilarious.

People downvote you yet this is objective and any denial of it is simply refusing to take off the black and gold glasses. You really can't use the variability argument when the number is THAT low.

Davenport was a good run defender, that's cool. But he was drafted to be a menacing pass rusher at a position of value. 1/2 sack is inexcusable. I mean, 2 years ago he had just 1.5 sacks in 11 games too. There's no consistency, ever.

I love this draft, the DT that fell some because of an injury.
DE next great production, leader, the OT that was next up on most boards many thought was top 100 player.
The QB might be the steal alot of people loved his game high completion rate thru out college.
Then we steal the WO 6th round. And forgot the RB is a beast who will light a fire under Kamara.
I think in 2 years will replace Kamara and much cheaper.
The Safety was strange pick maybe they see something really good but wasn't to happy with that pick.

Rebuilt the DL depth which was essential. Nice four man rotation at DT and five man at DE. Hopefully Turner shows signs of life

LB depth is a question mark. I can see a veteran being brought in during training camp.

Safety depth also a question mark. Look great at CB

On defense I think they fixed DL but will need to prioritize LB and Safety in next years draft as we are getting a little old with Davis and HB. Hopefully those position will be deep.

OL looks like they are taking steps to prepare for this being Peat’s last season. Starting to build some depth

RB is light years improved. We now have three legitimate dudes back there.

Hopefully the kid from Wake can emerge. Maybe a late signee for this group will be in order

I am sure they have a plan at TE. With all of these running backs does Hill spend more time catching the ball rather than straight runs?

No, it’s not. And people downvote you in general because you’re a miserable a-hole, and we all hate you. We are downvoting you in this particular thread because it’s supposed to be about our draft class and you won’t shut the frick up about a guy who is no longer on the team. .5 sacks, 50 sacks. Who gives a shite. Davenport is no longer a Saint. Let it go. Or better yet, just go away, you miserable frick.

Loomis knows the potential new coach will need some help

I'm sure that Loomis doesn't run the draft since he isn't a personnel type of GM.
