YAHOO #3

quote:

One reason the Saints’ defense is playing well: New Orleans’ offense is sustaining drives. The Saints are fourth in the league in time of possession. It was clear that the Saints were targeting a more run-heavy approach this season, which would help the defense and Drew Brees.

ESPN #3

quote:

Projected wins: 11.6

Washington Post #3

quote:

The Saints are a very balanced and very good team. It’s time to put aside the old notions about their suspect defense and lack of commitment to the running game. They can play defense. And they can — and will — run the ball. They overwhelmed a Bills team that had been playing very well at home for their seventh straight win.

NFLN #4

quote:

Really enjoyed that two-play scoring drive spearheaded by Chase Daniel and Trey Edmunds in the fourth quarter. Imagine you're a Saints fan who finished visiting your kid at UL-Monroe (formerly NELU, home of Bubby Brister), turned on the radio on the drive south down Highway 165 and heard the following: Daniel hands it to Edmunds ... who goes 3 yards up the middle. You'd think it was August and you were just dropping your kid off at school to start the year. What a day for New Orleans, which put up big points, while the defense very quietly has turned into a top-five unit. I wrote about Sean Payton changing the whole approach to a run game/defense deal this offseason, but I never expected this.

I'd put us at 2. Yes New England beat us, but they still have the 30th rank defense. 10 weeks in you should know what your team is. Brady is gonna have to carry this team on his back. He's definitely capable, but at some point the D is gonna cause a couple losses.

Tyrod, despite how he looked Sunday, is far from an atrocious QB.

The problem is only 3 teams in the AFC have top 10 offenses at the moment. New England, Jacksonville, and Kansas City. If you're counting on either Jacksonville or Kansas City to take down Brady in the playoffs, it's gonna be tough going. The NFC dominates offense, where as the AFC is a defense driven league. I would imagine most of New England's defense has been middle of the pack during their Super Bowl runs.

Well he's not good. However they still dominated Cammy Cam and they beat Stafford. He may have put up some yards but we got 5 turnovers off of him.

I think there are 8 teams clearly better than everyone else.

1.Eagles
2.Patriots - They're beatable, but they've earned this spot due to consistent success every year.
3.Saints or the Rams tied for #3. They play in 2 weeks, so that will take care of itself.
5.Vikings
6.Steelers
7.Chiefs
8.Jaguars

ESPN having the Rams at #7 is a joke imo. Also, the Seahawks don't belong in the top 10 imo. Panthers can be a good team, but they're too inconstant for me to include them on my list. The Chiefs also need to get it together, b/c they're on the verge of dropping off. The Jaguars can be a very dangerous team if they would put it all together. The Titans have been looking very good lately.

Not that I don't like the praise, I really enjoyed flying under the radar the last few weeks. I feel like we made a big statement last week and put the NFL media on notice, it's almost as if they can't believe it.
