Please throw a pass further downfield than 5 or 6 yards...I know the only consistent receiver you have is Michael Thomas and sometimes Taysom Hill, but you've got to let it fly. Tedd Ginn seems to be a has-been missing 50% of his targets while Traquan Smith catches spectacular one time and misses an easy pass the next time.
Hell, let's see the kick returner getting some targets like Brandon Cooks used to get. Who knows?

So the WR corps sucks, but you want to throw it more often? How about we run the damn ball?

I'm sure he'd love to throw farther than 5 to 6 yards, might want to ask his Oline for permissions first.

Reasonable request.

Let's go deep to the speed guy even though the oline is only gonna give you 2 seconds of protection.

You've really thought this ought, haven't you?

What?

The fact that he wasn't taking the 5 and 6 yard check Downs is probably why the Saints lost that game. Every drop back he's holding on to the ball way too long with his eyes 15 yards or more down the field.

He did a terrible job taking his check down in that game. He just had an off day because usually he's the king of going quickly through his progressions and then taking the check down if need be.

Play calling did him no favors as there were very few short plays called like bubble screens, rub routes and quick Slants. It seems like every play was a traditional drop back pass play with nothing but intermediate and deep routes.

Everybody was still Hungover from the Payton Engagement Super Party. Let's go with that.

I would have waited until AFTER the season to get Engaged to be Married, but, what do I know?

You DO realize Teddy had one of the shortest Air Yds per attempt in the entire league right? Drew's struggles were due to no Oline protection and a lack of commitment to the running game....For his part he held the ball a bit too long as well...But if you are on the Teddy train, he holds the ball WAY longer. ...If the oline does it's job and doesn't allow 6 sacks and beaucoup hurries/hits on the qb and we run the ball more than 11 times, everything is just fine
