Most logical players on roster that there is any sense to a trade imo are as follows:

1. Hau'oli Kikaha base salary about 1.1, dead cap about 500kish. Had trouble staying healthy, fit has been questionable at best.

2. Mark Ingram base salary 4.6 with 1.6ish dead cap. Last year of deal and top of his career game. There's a strong side to keep his services, and a strong argument to be had if we got good value for him now. This is only a testament to his value. It would take something substantial for the saints to even entertain.

3. PJ Williams- fell out of favor with Staff yet extremely talented on rookie deal

4. Josh Hill/Coby Fleener- both are good talents and really good values, especially when new team isn't paying coby's bonuses.

5. Manti Te'o- proved very worthy and substantial playing time last year, if Saints add to LB core, he could be expendable and maybe even lure a team for a later pick.

6. Chris Banjo- long shot but extremely valuable ST player, could be a throw in to move up in draft.

Anyone besides Ingram. We need Ingram to be a prolific offense.

Kikaha, maybe someone would trade for him but it's likely to be a 6th or 7th rounder.

Ingram could fetch us maybe a 2nd or 3rd (leaning 2nd because pretty cheap last year and not that old yet). But I don't think that's happening.

PJ is NOT extremely talented. I doubt we'd get more than a 7th for him.

Nobody is trading for Hill, Fleener, or Banjo with their contracts.

I'd rather cut Klein before trading Te'o. He outplayed Klein imo in all phases of the game. Klein looked like a slightly better Lofton. Only plus for Klein is getting guys lined up and making checks and such. But even still you're looking at a 5th-7th for Te'o. I'd rather have him than some late round flyer.

very cheap contracts considering costs on what's being paid out there. Fleener would be a complete non guaranteed deal for new team right?

For what little Hill did, his contract isn't going to be viewed as cheap by another team. They'll just roll with someone for minimum instead.

Fleener has the injury issues and his stock has only gone down (not boosting your numbers with Brees is a bad sign). He's cheapish but teams would view it as a one year rental (his base shoots up a bit next year iirc), and we're talking 6th or 7th at best so technically, but we wouldn't do it unless we were willing to cut him.

I think they'd rather keep him one more year and part ways with Hill and/or Hooman.

It’s a decent thread and valid question. Not sure why all the downvotes. It’s just a conversation.

they are idiots is always the answer to the question 90% of the time in life.

players of trade value doesn't mean i'm saying they will or should be traded. Just conversation of guys who may actually hold any type of trade value during this period before and during draft.

PJ Williams is so damn overrated.

All the size in the world but the mother fricker just can't stick to a WR. He gives up a catch everytime its thrown his way.

We just signed a safety, and would still need depth, but Vonn Bell could fetch a decent return maybe.

Same goes for Crawley.

Although we saw how important corner depth is in the past few years.

I'm of the opinion we should extend Crawley for cheap for a year or two before he hits FA next year. At least slap a 2nd round tender at the end of this season.

Coby Fleener

Trading Fleener would give us $4,800 in dead money and save us $3,200 in cap space.
