He's one of my favorite Saints ever. Didn't have eye-popping speed or bruising power but he did everything well. And nobody ever ran a screen play better than PT23.

He had an uncanny ability to run screen plays.

He was absolutely one of the best if not the beat to ever do it.

I did too until the first play from scrimmage in the 09 playoff game.

It goes to show you just how important VISION is to being a good RB. You can be the biggest, strongest, fastest RB in the world, but if you can’t find the holes none of that matters.

This thread didn’t age well for some posters.




One of those posters being me. In my defense, I didn’t think PT was a workhorse back, but saw PT as a complimentary back. Turned into the best screen back in the NFL.

PT cruiser was the first Saint to score a touchdown in a Super Bowl! Great running back and great person.
