Pro Football Focus (PFF) found him to be the league’s most accurate passer in 2015 with an "accuracy percentage" of 79.3.

quote:

PFF’s unique accuracy percentage is different than traditional completion percentage. It counts dropped passes as accurate attempts and excludes throwaways, spikes, passes batted at the line and released while being hit. As a result, accuracy percentage is typically much higher than completion percentage.

Bridgewater passed for 3,200 yards and 14 TDs in 2015 where he was named to the 2015 Pro Bowl.

He's gonna teach Brees so many things about passing.

He did that on an average to bad offense. Injuries have destroyed his career, not talent. This could be a huge trade for this season if not for the future.

Oh please let someone buy that you are serious with this. I'm sure the ranters will be in soon.

Good stuff, but im not sure its a better metric than regular completion %. If dropped passes arent put in good spots, then that can be on the qb. Same with batted down passes not getting the ball out high enough, as well as throwaways where maybe the qb doesnt see the open guy.

Apparently he's elite at medium accuracy. Fits perfectly with the weapons we have in Mike Thomas, Trequan Smith, Cameron Meredith, and Alvin Kamara. Add in a TE in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft (Fant or Knox), and there won't be a more perfect fit for Teddy in the NFL.

I know you’re trying to knock the metric but when healthy Sam Bradford is a good QB

No, just giving perspective. I like the move and think he will work great with our offense and SP

there's just more to comp% than the number. kinda like jarvis landry catching 100 balls and antonio brown catching 100 balls - there are ways to dig in and quantify it

quote:

Of his 447 attempts that weren't throwaways or batted passes, 60.2 percent traveled less than 10 yards past the line of scrimmage, including 16.1 percent thrown behind the line.

Bridgewater threw 16.8 percent of his passes in the 10-to-20-yard range, which surprisingly was his best depth range according to PFF's grading.

Bridgewater, meanwhile, attempted just 48 throws that went 20 or more yards downfield. That ranked 23rd among NFL quarterbacks, per PFF.

You probably don't need me to tell you that he struggled on those deeper throws, but here you go anyway: Bridgewater was accurate on just 37.5 percent of deep throws, which also ranked 23rd in the league. Trajectory and accuracy on deep balls is the biggest hole in his game right now.

again, not hating, we just got the best guy realistically available.

AP had almost 1500 yards that year and I believe they ran a lot of 2 TE sets as well.
